If you like Caesar salad, Lake Valley Seed Organic Lettuce Romaine Paris Island Cos is the one to grow It has broad upright leaves with a crispy mid-rib. Cut when young for tasty baby-sized leaves. Planting: Lettuce prefers cool weather. Select a location with full sun or part shade in hot areas. Sow in early spring, fall or winter in mild climates. Keep soil evenly moist for best growth. Thin regularly--lettuce does not like to be crowded. Harvest: Plant a few feet every 2-3 weeks for continuous harvest. Save space by interplanting with other later crops like beans, squash or tomatoes. Harvest: You can harvest the lettuce as soon as it looks a decent size. Start by picking leaves. The plant will replace them quickly and then continue the process until the lettuce bolts. All Lake Valley Seed Organic varieties are Non-GMO, untreated and are Certified Organic by the USDA.

Good germination
I bought these seeds to try growing Romaine in a hydrophonic unit. They have sprouted after 2 weeks under lights and consistent water. I have not transplanted them yet so don't know how this experiment is going to work..........
