Comparable in flavor and texture to the Cumin Club vindaloo but slightly less in cost
I love Indian food, and I am a Cumin Club subscriber. This product is very similar in taste as the Cumin Club vindaloo simmer sauce, which is one of my favorite dishes. I feel that the Cumin Club version is a bit more spicy but, if you like your vindaloo especially spicy as I do, simply add a pepper or two to this mix. Just for variety, I think I will include this in my monthly subscribe and save as a slightly cheaper (but no less tasty) alternative to my Cumin Club routine.

My favorite pre-made Indian sauce!
I used to think the Sukhi's korma was top-notch, but I've found that my favorite is the vindaloo because it lacks the sweetness and offers a better punch of flavor for just about anything, whether it be meat or a vegetarian curry. I appreciate that about ALL of the Sukhi's sauces and spice blends I've purchased: they don't scrimp on flavor. It doesn't have the authentic heat of a mouth-on-fire vindaloo, but the balance of spices is perfection. I typically use 2 sauce packets for about a pound-and-a-half of meat mixed with 1-2 pounds of vegetables, usually potatoes and peas but certainly not limited to those. This is a good, strong paste and can be made either thick or more diluted depending on one's taste. I've been cooking Indian food for about a decade now, usually from scratch, but, when I find Sukhi's on sale, I HOARD these little convenient packets for a quick and tasty meal. And as I've said in reviews for other Sukhi's products, I wouldn't be embarrassed to use this and serve the dish to my Malayalee in-laws (and hide the evidence, of course!) : )

Not the same as previous, different ingredients, calories!
I am so bummed, this used to be awesome and the ingredients listed on the Amazon description for Sukhi's Tikka Masala sauce are awesome. What I received are different ingredients with the same packaging for Tikka Masala Sauce. These ingredients are 50 calories per serving, 250 calories per packet., not the already too high 45 calories per serving quoted. The ingredients on this packet don't resemble any Indian Tikka Masala sauce I've ever seen. They are: tomato paste, canola oil, granulated onion, glycerin, sugar, water, spices, salt, lentil flour, vinegar, lemongrass, spices, garlic, shallot, salt, kaffir lime peel, turmeric, onions, canola oil, ginger, garlic powder, citric acid, jalaeno, paprika, glucono delta lactone, lemon juice, cardamom.Yuck , and I really don't need to eat glycerin thank you so much, or some genetically modified canola oil.The few real ingredients, lemongrass and kaffer lime leaves, are Thai, not Indian. It already had way too much oil in it and they increased the oil, glycerin, sugar and reduced the real spices or removed them. Yuck, fortunately Amazon honored my return but it looks like yet another product watered down (on in this case oiled down) to nasty for the American market. Here's the original label which is now gone: tomato paste, onions, canola oil, coriander, salt, garlic, cayenne powder, celery seeds, cumin, nutmeg, onion powder, ginger powder, spices, fenugreek, citric acid, bay leaf, cloves, cinnamon, garlic, onion, salt, spices, canola oil, lemon juice, paprika, cardamom, gylcerin, water, garlic, onion, spices, urad dal flour, salt, ginger, garlic powder, sugar, spices, citric acid, jalapeno, fenugreek leaves, glucono delta lactone.I list these for it seems the only way to make some realistic curry that is vegan is to make your own spice mixture now. This review is an update from my 5 star this stuff is amazing and vegan and easy review.
