I was very impressed with the sturdiness of the product. Using it was very simple and fool-proof. So far I'd give it a 5 stars. My only slight concern is that the clamps that hold it shut are made of the same plastic the box is rather than a hinge. So it's all one piece that wears out as it bends back and forth, and I'm sure would be the first thing to fail. It's pretty sturdy though, so unless you're taking this on and off, it will hold up a very long time. If you're looking for something that needs to be taken on and off regularly, I might try to find something else with a hinge style clamp/lock. Otherwise, I'd recommend this 100%

highly recommended we have an area outside that has an extension cord connection. this device makes the connection safe in rain and light snow. our pond heater can remain on and safe. simple to use, sorta simple to remove

Second time purchasing these covers. I needed extras after adding more xmas lights. My cords will generally see a lot of inclement weather and get buried in snow. These units seal great and I've never had a problem. They make a very nice positive clamp with the three latches and feel pretty robust. Recommended.

Works well, keeps water out

These devices truly work in protecting a coupling from the weather. I opened one up after a year and the ends of the electrical cords were as new. Particularly good in ground fault protected circuits in preventing grounding at the union of two cords.

These seal out the elements super well. I’m using them to enclose brass speaker banana plugs and Ethernet Cat-5 connectors after I’ve pulled seaside equipment in at season-end, as well as 14-3 extension cords connecting utility drain pumps that stay out in the elements during off-season. The first year I did this winterizing I used box-like products that held more connectors, but didn’t seal as well as these. So the second year I tried these, and they worked awesome; whereas I had some water entry, & rust from the boxes, my connectors came out exactly as they went in after using these covers. So I bought more for use shutting things down this season. Recommended.

Every year when it rains - our outdoor Christmas lights won't work since the sockets get wet and we have to wait for them to dry. I'm not sure why I never thought of these. I do think they are over-priced for only 2 in a pkg, however worth it if I can use them ever year. My only regret is I bought the orange (thinking of my orange outdoor cord) not of the bushes it's in... but it's all good. It's difficult to open - but I guess that's good - since it seals tight with the cords inside. Of course, now it hasn't rained yet - so I do hope it works! It's very durable - but I do hope the snaps don't break where they seal. Overall - I'm happy so far.

I bought one of these Twist and Seal cord protectors at my local Lowe's years ago. I use it to protect an extension cord plugged into a heated cat/dog bowl outdoors. It has been holding up quite well to the elements. I had a second cord protect by another company that purchased through Amazon for a second extension cord plugged into a heated pet bed. That cord protector by the other company did not last as long. It broke down easily from sun exposure. I had to buy another cord protector to replace the one that broke down, and I went with this Twist and Seal protector knowing it is long lasting and durable.
