Q: Set neck, all mahogany, humbuckers. In humbucking mode, does it sound like a Les Paul?

This is difficult for me to answer since I have not played a Paul in a very long time. Definitely not a Tele sound, and not quite a Paul sound. A little more articulate and not quite as thick as a Paul. More versatile than either. Pull out the coil split switch and you have a whole different palette to play with. And, it is a heck of a lot lighter on the shoulder than either a Tele or a Paul. Stop thinking about it not being made in the USA. Mine is flawless.

no, different.. this has humbuckers/adkins p 90s... set neck, only similarity

Q: How does this guitar sound playing say classic rock from 70s and 80s?

It has full tone due to the Humbucker pick ups. Im primarily a Blues player but I do play Rock and the guitar has great tone. Very fast neck.
