Excellent product.
Quality is very good. Thicker than I expected, lightweight and warm, great saturated colors. I am 5'10", 220 lbs. and it's a perfect fit. Length is almost to my knees. The shape is such that you can fold the front to the back then back to the front and add a belt for extra warmth and a different look. Be sure to untie the neck straps first or you'll never get it over your head. Made in Manco Kapac Province, Copacabana, Bolivia on Lake Titicaca.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! Ends are unfinished so be sure to tie them off!
Short Review:I love this. It is soft and warm. The color is beautiful... One reviewer said the ends were unfinished, and they truly are unfinished! So make sure you tie these off when you get them, click on the helpful icon for that reviewer's information and rock on! Also, Mine came with one of those plastic label tags stapled in the middle somewhere and hidden by the fold (it is on the inside). When you are unfolding this beautiful poncho, DO IT SLOWLY and GENTLY. When you locate that plastic tag thing, snip it off so you don't pull on these threads and ruin your initial purchase. Then, carefully remove those plastic ends and toss them! Threads/yarns are very easily pulled out of these type of items, and you don't want to end up with a damaged item! I've actually deducted a star for the curious placement of this tag and the delicate nature of this material. The two of them don't go well together, and it baffles me that this is how the seller is shipping them out. This isn't exactly a "traditional" poncho as I've understood (I've always had the hardier ponchos - where you can use them like a beach towel, or blanket etc.) This is a much finer item and is quite delicate. It can be a little difficult to maintain (ponchos swing around quite freely unlike other articles of clothing) and can get caught on things like doors or handles or whatnot. Just be aware of this when you're walking about. You can find the hardier ponchos (which I totally love as well) here on Amazon for about 1/3 the price. They are AWESOME!Hope this helps!

Very fine piece. Warm. Beautiful.
Beautiful, soft, big, warm. I really like it. It is not thin, it does not smell bad. The blue one is a deep beautiful color. The hood is just the right size. The whole thing doubles as a large throw or blanket. But long and wide enough to cover my feet all the way to my chin unlike most throws that are too short. When worn as a poncho it has plenty of width to wrap up in and it goes to my knees. Good for a football game on a chilly evening in the bleachers. The one negative which many reviews state, is that the bottom is not finished and although nice and tight now, I see it could start to come unraveled if it catches on something and sure it will sooner or later. I may just knot it up myself along the bottom fringe, its just nice enough to put in the effort. But they should do this themselves. ill buy another for my sister. For those cold nights in Tennessee!!

Light and warm
I have had friends check out the poncho when I am wearing it, and they are amazed at how something so thin and light weight could be so warm. I have worn it with an alpaca sweater under it with the weather in the 30s (°F) and stayed quite comfortable with jeans and cotton socks. And inside, I can drop the temperature of the house 4 to 8 degrees cooler when I wear it, saving big bucks on the heating bill. It also makes a comfy blanket for sleeping on the go. About the only time I take it off on cold days is when I'm cooking, as it can get in the way, get food on it, and it presents a potential fire hazard on a gas stove. I am quite fond of the poncho.

Beautiful colors & superb craftmanship
As others have said, the pic does not do the colors justice. It's a deeper, more vibrant blue. I'm 6'2" and it hangs down to the back of my knees and mid-thigh in front. My only complaint is that the hood is not very large. It fits snugly around an adult male head. No one is getting a bee-hive hairdo in there! It's perfect for chilly evenings around the campfire.

Ends snag in chairs
It's okay. The ends are not finished and snag in chairs then get pulled when you stand up. Leaves, needles, and other outside debris stick to it. It is soft and comfortably warm though.

This Hooded Poncho is warm, feels good, and looks amazing.
The Gamboa Hooded Alpaca Poncho did not underestimate itself. It is a fine quality made product that I would purchase again, and again. It is absolutely stunning, and amazing to wear. I cannot say enough positive things about this product. I was also very impressed at how fast it shipped and arrived at my home. I just couldn't believe it got here almost overnight. It looks much better in person than it does in print. I plan on purchasing more for myself, and for gift giving.

Fun to wear.
Given it's usually cool and dry, these ponchos are comfortable, and keep your core warm...arms/hands, not so much of course. Colors are excellent.
