The teeth in this saw are super sharp. it easily cut thick branches of my tree in no time. it's light and i like the guard it comes with for easy storage. Its strong and didn't bend much when cutting. Easy to use

small, sharp and versatile.
This thing is a beast! It's very sharp and very versatile. Don't let it's small size fool you, I have cut 5" branches with this very easily! If you have ever used a Bow Saw you know how the frame always seems to get in the way. Not with this saw! After many, many uses the blade is still sharp and should last a long time before needing replaced, and replacement blades are available on Amazon. It's a perfect pruning saw, or a good utility saw for cutting up fallen limbs if you live in a heavily wooded area like me. I just bought a 2nd one to strap on the 4-wheeler for taking care of the fallen wood on the trails!

Perfect tool for medium branches
I use this when trimming branches that are too big for my large clippers and it works great. I score the branch on the underside and then cut a little further away on the opposite side to avoid pealing the bark when the weight brings the branch downward. This cuts through quick and clean. Awesome tool for my yard supplies.

I am very happy with this purchase
I am very happy with this purchase. I recently moved into a new place and have a lot of yard work to do. I am familiar with this brand and have had good experiences with it in the past. I thought the saw would be heavy but it is so lightweight I was able to use it over my head for two hours continuously. The blade is VERY sharp and the handle is at a comfortable angle. I had no problem using it with both my left and right hand. The saw is sturdy and seems durable. I'm sedentary, 50 years old, and not very strong being only 4'10" & 90lbs, I trimmed up the hedges below in about two hours with this saw. Our neighborhood gets a lot of food traffic, so opening up the view to our house from the sidewalk will put any potential prowlers in full view of passers by. Privacy is the enemy of security.

Best Saw for Cutting Limbs
It cuts very fast. I've used mine for a year cutting limbs several times per week and I do not think it has dulled at all. I have cut 6 inch limbs with this. The main advantages of this saw are: 1. It is extremely sharp and stays sharp. 2. It cuts 1/4 inch limbs as well as 4 inch limbs because of the unique blade tooth design. Of course how fast it cuts depends on the wood. Wet wood is faster than seasoned wood. Pine is faster than Oak. 3. It cuts on the pull stroke making it much more efficient and prevents bending the blade.

Sharp enough to saw through a 3.25 inch in five minutes, but...
I have had a lower branch on my tangelo tree that has been attacking me for 30 years. That is, everything I am douing something on my patio, I would forget to duck under. Although it's (was) thick, a good wind would make it dangerous. I'm no longer young with arm strength, but I was going to have to admit that and "hire" someone for one branch or I was going to have to do this myself. I looked in Amazon for saws, and saw this "Pruning" saw. The price was reasonable, and what sealed the deal was that most of the reviewers mention how sharp it was. I received it yesterday. Today, I confronted the branch. After 15 minutes, it is now a hardscape for the patio (although a photo is good enough). I said you can cut through a three+ inch branch in five minutes. Well, I knew it would have to be cut twice: hence 15 minutes. It was comfortable, but I suggest you wear a glove. Well, wear two gloves. This is really sharp, and the handle, although ergonomic, there are ribs inside the handle that can rub between thumb and palm. I highly recommend this (and the Fiskar's pruning shears for getting the branch and leaves into compostable size). And to think I actually considered a cordless reciprocating saw for three times the price and one that would probably be used two or three times in my remaining years.

Excellent on Palm Trees
I moved to a property recently that has numerous palm trees of various sizes. For those that do not know, palm frons are extremely tough and can wear down blades rather quickly. When I used this product however, it was like a hot knife cutting through butter. I was able to trim 10 palm trees, 6 sago palms and 3 yucca plants without issue. The biggest problem I had was the mess left over from the effectiveness of this tool. If you are looking to cut tree limbs, palm frons or anything in between, this tool is for you.

I have not used it yet but the reason I bought this particular model is because it has the same type of teeth as on a Fiskars pole saw that I own and am amazed with how quickly it cuts green wood this saw saves much time and effort.

Used the saw this fall to do quite a bit of pruning. Easy to use and makes a clean cut. Much better than the one it replaced. Expect to use it for many years.
