I was worried about it being paperback but it comes in a sturdy box with the book and prints inside, so it's basically hardcover. The prints are absolutely stunning on thick paper too. Though I need to research the size so I can frame some of them! Completely in love with purchase!

What a gorgeous book. I really bought it for the prints, but it's actually just beautiful as a coffee table book. I'm going to frame four of the prints and save myself a lot of money. Similar wall decor is $100 a piece.

My boyfriend is an oceanographer and I got this for him last Christmas. He absolutely loved it. The prints are gorgeous and we have plans to frame our favorites eventually and hang them up.

This book is a multitude of pleasures both intellectual and aesthetic. The essays are scholarly but accessible, and the individual picture plates are wonderful. I absolutely love this book!

The color plates are magnificent. The articles are compelling and written for the educated layperson. This book is a must for any naturalist's library.

Beautiful book and illustrations. False advertising from Atlas Imports. Item was described as New condition, paid for new condition and it arrived broken and the item is used. One star for Atlas Imports.
