If you go through a LOT of tapes, this is a great bargain. I have purchased these before b/c they simply work well and the price point is good too. Shipped on time and arrived as advertised.

CERTRON cassette tapes are cheaply produced - by that I mean low quality. They had no quality control system so lots of recording-destroying glitches are problematic. It's the old 'you get what you pay for'. CERTRON products at bargain prices are no bargain. CERTRON went under years ago which means these products have been in storage for years which can further degrade quality - especially of recording tape. For example: An unheated/uncooled warehouse can damage tape. Tape (especially reel-to-reel which have no protective housing) can develop dry rot. How have the tapes been stored? In boxes on top of boxes.....? All that extra weight doesn't help. Don't invest $20 (as one seller has priced them) in CERTRON tapes. They're not worth it.Brands such as MAXELL are well-made and can be purchased as recently manufactured - no long storage lags. Most other media companies have discontinued blank cassettes which keeps MAXELL in high demand as the only quality tape now being made.
