Everyone should read this book. It is a personal gift from God to the world. It provides a spiritual, amazing account into the life of Oir Blessed Mother, the Mother of God. One cannot help but be filled with awe at detailed descriptions provided by Catherine Emmerich’s visions into the life, culture, conversations, clothing, dwellings, travels and trials of the Holy Family. It describes their daily life in such vivid detail, you feel like you are part of the daily activities.

Ven. Anne Catherine Emmerich - Thank you!
This book is amazing, it gives wonderful information about the life of Our Lady and while the author does not claim that the revelations given to Ven. Anne Catherine Emmerich are to be taken as doctrine, like the Bible, it is clear to me at least that the information given in such detail must have come from Heaven. Sometimes you heard a musical note and it rings clear and true and that's the way this book sang to me. I am so glad that I found the books - 'The Dolorous Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ' and 'The Life of the Blessed Virgin Mary'. I got answers to questions I have wondered about - how could Jesus be said to be the son of David if Joseph was not his father? The Bible does not reveal that Our Lady was also of the House of David and more directly in line of descent that Joseph. Ven. Anne Catherine Emmerich's visions and revelations gives us the full story whereas the Bible give us what we now call 'Headlines'.

How much Our Lady loves us!
To increase my knowledge of Our Lady's life. After all, it is a bit dishearting to learn that Our Lady is mentioned more times in the Koran than in the Bible. I wanted to learn more and I did by reading the writings by Ven. Anne Catherine Emmerich. Well worth reading and studying this book.
