The only surefire way to get the real item if you live in Southern California
There is very little available muffulata bread to buy in San Diego because nobody has ever heard of a muffulata. So I ordered it from Amazon. The hitch is that the minimum order is enough to feed about 50 people, and we had most of it left over. So, the quality is there (it arrived in a styrofoam-lined box), and it is ready to go.
