Good Set of Filters
I inherited the filter installation from the former owner. Nothig really clear what it was, the manufacturer no longer exists. Took a chance and the measurements seemed correct so I tried this set. Many things from the current condition of the filter needed attention. After cleaning and disinfestion of the old cartridge housings, I went ahead and installed these and pressurized the holding tank. Everything works perfectly now, thanks to a few YouTube tutorials. My municipal water isn't all that bad, higher calcium levels and intermittantly sterilized with chlorine, the filter removes any noticable traces of these. Oddly enough, since the source is above ground in the summer months there can be a blue-green algae bloom which makes the water smell pretty badly. Again the filter removes any noticable traces. What worthy of note is I constanly use an electric water boiler and a Koerig single use coffee maker. The manufacturers warn to descale these devices after some use. There has been zero calcium or other build up on either device. The filter must be doing a good job. ----->>> In closing these are good cartridges, I have replace multiple sets in two years. I will continue to use these because they do exactly what I expect of them if not more.

I was trying to get a set of three... which I did, but the three I needed included another one, so now I have 2 extras that I need to get matched up with the ones I need for the set.

Hydrotech has an opportunity to make their system owners much happier if they would publish consumer contact information on their ...
Finally found a reasonable source for these filters. Original water treatment company who installed my I/O filtration system at a very high price felt they should continue to gouge every time I needed filters. Replacement water treatment company which provided filters at a reasonable price closed when the owner retired. The only problem was confirming these were the correct filters for my Hydrotech built system. Sometime since when I installed twenty years ago Hydrotech changed the numbering for the filters although the filters themselves are the same. It was hard to find a phone number for Hyrothech but once I found a Tech Support phone number I quickly got to a supper cooperative tech who was able to confirm the filter numbers I needed. Hydrotech has an opportunity to make their system owners much happier if they would publish consumer contact information on their corporate web site and put up a cross reference table mapping old filter numbers to new numbers.

Okay Value
We've had a Hydrotech RO unit since '97 installed. We have pretty decent municipal water here but at times the chlorine levels are a bit too high for my liking. The municipals in my area need to carry a .02 mg/L free chlorine residual at the furthest part of the service line, so it's not uncommon for us to see much higher than that at our home (albeit not as bad as a swimming pool). The pre & post carbon filters do a terrific job of removing that CL2 (sodium hypochlorite / aka 'bleach') from the water and their RO membrane lasts for many years with regular replacement of the pre filters. We use our RO water many times per day and this is part of making sure we have it.

Does the intended filtration perfectly
I've replaced my filters about every nine months - depending upon usage. These filters always work well. It is a bit of a message process with some water leakage during the installation, however a few towels take care of that. Have used the same RO filtration system for the past 20+ years
