Lee Precision 90251 Bench Plate Kit, Black

Perfect match for Pro 1000. Hard to imagine not being standard. Works better with, than without. A good machine and works as designed.

The team effort was professionally handled. The Lee Precision product line is awesome and will continue to be my go to company with the support of this vender.

Being that I live in a one bedroom apartment and don't have a copious amount of space, this product is exactly what I was looking for. The picture shows everything that's included. The bottom black piece in the Amazon picture is the plate that mounts to your bench top, You must supply the hardware for this but that's all the extra you have to buy. The gold colored deals on the mounting plate are the 'arms' that hold the top plates in place. The set includes the two shown wooden block and the top black steel block. The black steel block (top of picture) is drilled to accommodate most of Lee's available presses. I mounted my Pro 1000 9mm in it and it holds it rock solid. The other blocks can be marked, using the steel block as a template, for any other presses. The only other Lee press I own is a Lee Load-All 2 in 12 gauge. This press does not fit the block as it is too wide. Using the other 2 included blocks I mounted a bench vise and my Hornady Lock-N-Load single stage press. The design of this bench plate means I only need to remove 4 screws and I can have access to the entire bench top surface. Amazon sells more of the blocks and the elevator bolts. The way I see this product is as an excellent solution to the amount of space that reloading presses can take up. Maybe one day I'll have a 12 foot long workbench with all my presses mounted in a row. But that day isn't today, and this product makes it so I only had to drill 4 holes in my bench and can still have the full functionality of that bench when I'm not reloading.

Comes with base plate that’s mounted to the bench, and a press mounting plate with all the necessary hardware to mount the a press to the press mounting plate, including the screws and “Z” mounting brackets. There is no hardware included for mounting the base plate to bench. Overall, I’m pleased with this inexpensive, simple and effective mounting system.

Good build, made it easy to mount my press. Had to drill the holes out slightly on my press to make the holes line up. Since the kit comes with elevator bolts with square retaining portions on the press plate, I had to enlarge the holes on the press. Once I did that it fits fine. I was unable to use the lock pin hole though, as it would require a significant enlargement to the hole. I may drill something smaller and use a smaller screwdriver instead of the recommended 1/4 inch bolt or #2 screwdriver.

I use it to mount a Lee Classic Cast Single Stage Press and a Lee LoadMaster Progressive Press on my bench. I use my bench for simple gunsmith work and for reloading. Therefore, I cannot mount both presses on my bench -- there is not enough space. This bench plate kit fixes this problem. I only use the metal base plate. My understanding is that the wooden base plate cannot be secured onto the bench plate tightly because it is missing the little stub in the front of it to lock it in place (that the metal base plate have it). I don't bother with the wooden base plate. I order one extra metal base plate and I am all set (the kit already comes with one metal base plate). Please note that the instruction asks us to mount the bench plate flush to the edge of our bench. This is correct and we should follow this instruction. I find that already I could have mount it like 1/2" offset from the edge for my Lee Classic Cast Single Stage Press. But that would not work for Lee LoadMaster Progressive Press. Therefore, please follow the instruction and mount it flush to the edge of our bench. This also means that we cannot use the 3rd hole on the bench plate that is very close to the edge. We have to use the first and the second holes. EDIT on 10/19/2016: One more thing why this bench plate is good is that it allows me to mount a Lee LoadMaster Progressive Press to my bench. The mounting holes of Lee LoadMaster Progressive Press are too close to the edge of the bench if I mount it directly onto the bench. Mounting this press onto the metal base plate fixes this problem.

Sturdy, great for gick set up when press is not in use on your bench/work table

Amazing product. Wish I had gone to this system a long time ago. Easy to install and works great. Makes swapping presses a breeze. I can now change presses in a matter of seconds. It actually secures the presses to the bench even more solidly than when I had them each bolted to the bench. Word of caution though....... the picture shows the kit coming with wooden press mounting blocks in addition to the one steel mounting plate that comes with it, however those wooden blocks no longer come with the kit.... all you get is the one included steel mounting plate for 1 press. I simply bought additional mounting plates for my other presses. The kit does give you a template and instructions to use if you want to cut your own wooden mounting plates and it's not hard to do, but just be aware you will not get any wooden blocks with your kit despite what the advertising picture displays.

If you don't have a lot of space this is a great addition to your reloading bench. I use it for a Lee pro 1000 and a Lee single stage press. There are enough bases to mount 3 presses. Changing presses is a breeze and it is very sturdy and well made.

I have a mobile reloading work station I made out of an mdf board fitted on a mechanic's tool trolley as a work top with a mechanic's drawer system on top of that which I can pull out from under the stairs and slide back whenever I need. This plate really helped stiffen up the mdf board when I was using the press.
