I purchased this ice wrap primarily for the different straps. Ice compresses are used often in our home, and I thought it would be nice to be able to move a little without having to rebalance and wrap with every shift.First, this ice pack serves my purposes nicely. The strap actually stayed in place while I walked around a bit, allowing me to go into the kitchen or bathroom when needed.Second, the compress is quite well made. It has a short strap "built in" sufficiently long to wrap a knee or elbow, but includes three more of varying lengths that would allow wrapping of almost anywhere on the body. Because the straps use hook-and-loop tabs, it's possible to add to the lengths as necessary. There is a very nice, soft lining to one side of the ice pack that also reduces some of the cold of the compress. The seams are wide and look sturdy.Finally, the compress is nicely compact. Space is an issue in our refrigerator, and it folds into a neat 5" x 4" x 3" space that is easily tucked into the door shelf. Unfolded, the compress covers a 12" x 5" area.Clearly, I've only used the ice pack function, but it can also be used as a heat pack with all the same benefits. This will do frequent duty in our home.

I have Hashimoto's and am in pain daily. Sometimes I need heat and sometimes I need ice so this product was interesting for me to try. No matter what I need it for it works every time.The adjustable straps make it easy to use it almost anywhere and the velcro keeps it in place. Because it has a nice, plush pad I don't have to search for a hand towel to protect my skin. Both heat and ice work really well for the time I need them and it doesn't take long to freeze again.My daughter ruptured her ACL and had surgery in January. She reinjured her knee a couple of months ago and hasn't been able to have surgery again. She "borrows" this ice/heat pack so often I am going to have to buy her one. She says it's the only thing she's tried that stays in place.I've used this for headaches, my neck where I had surgery for degenerative disc disease a few months ago, my joints, my muscles and just to cool off when my body temperature rises and cools. I am going to buy more for myself as I can afford them over time. Sometimes I need heat and ice at the same time.Great product, I haven't found any cons so far but will update this review if I do. I've been using it a few weeks now.

I like the fabric side, nice and soft and comfortable on the skin. I do heat it longer than recommended since I have a low power microwave. I haven't used it frozen, so cant comment, but the heat is good. The straps hold it in place while I'm on the couch, but I don't think it would stay put while walking around, but it does come with an extra strap which is great.

For me, that means tight neck, shoulders and jaw and excruciating pain in the base of my skull, along with a less-but-still painful regular headache. My electric heating pad chose today to start making electric buzzes, so I went searching for a heat alternative and remembered that my favorite ice pack says it works for heat.I let it thaw on the counter and went to work heating it in the microwave. It took several additional 10 second time, but once it was hot enough I started trying to figure out how to comfortably get the best heat on the base of my skull. I ended up as pictured, and its wonderful.On a side note, I'm going to remember this next time I have a kiddo with an ear ache. The bead pouch part covers my ears too, and I can completely imagine this being really soothing for ear aches and ear infections.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I just got this a few days ago, and already found myself in need of migraine relief. Hopefully I'll never suffer the last two, but I couldn't have been typing this review 30 minutes ago. My migraine is above and below my eyes, and I don't know if they meant for me to do this, but I keep flipping it to either go across my forehead or under my eyes and across my nose. It feels sooooo good. It's shaped so it gets your temples without covering your eyes. It comes in a nice storage sleeve, too.I recommend this 100% to other migraine and sinus headache sufferers.

I have been using this product as an ice pack every morning on my back osteoarthritis. I like the size, flexibility, and long lasting chill. It re-freezes very quickly. I like the plush side. I like the belt extensions so the fit is perfect. However, to keep the clear plastic side from sweating and dampening the chair, I have to tuck a cloth between me and the pack with overlap to the clear plastic side. However, this week one of the plastic rivets popped out and the seam broke and began to leak the gel pebbles, making it unusable. It is too late to return to Amazon so I am not a happy camper. 9 months is not a good usable life for such a product.

I needed a reliable ice pack for my knee, and was intrigued to find that it can be used as both an ice pack and a heating pad! I've tried the product in both modes and it works great! Best of all, the ice pack/heating pad can be set up very quickly. I love that you can use it on either side for more/less intense heat/cold. The adjustable straps are very well made and useful. Tried to set it up on my back and it worked quite well. it comes with it's own bag and the instructions are printed right on the bag - very handy! This is a very reasonably priced product, especially given it's very high quality! I'd recommend it to anyone who suffers from sore joints and muscles!
