PunkyColour 3-in-1 Color Depositing Hair Cleanser & Conditioner, 8.5 fl oz. (Redilicious)

I ended up having a hair dye job that turned out to be a light green when I wanted like a dark green emerald bluish color and I was very unhappy with it and the lady who did it ended up doing like a super patchy job and I just felt grossed out by it. So then I had my friend use what I knew I liked which was the brand Arctic fox phantom Green. Which by the way, is an absolutely beautiful color whether your hair is bleached or not. However, unfortunately that color did fade very quickly on my hair and my hair was previously semi-bleached because like I said the lady did a really patchy job, and so I had my friend do the phantom green on my hair and it turned out beautiful faded. But then I found this and I put it on my hair after it faded back to its lime green color and I used this for 10 minutes last night and this is how it turned out. I'm absolutely in love with the color. The texture is super soft. My hair feels healthy even though it may not look super shiny, It's cheaper than buying hair dye. However it's probably not something you want to use everyday, maybe once or twice a week depending on how often you wash your hair, it does stain but can be cleaned off pretty easily, it does have a tendency to run when you're rinsing it. It'll look like a lot is coming out and you won't be able to get all of it out to where the water is clear. But if you just towel dry or blow dry it it'll work and it turns out beautiful gloves are definitely recommended, and if you have a shower cap that would help the process as well. I will be buying this again. I just won't use half the bottle next time and my hair is pretty long. It's down to the center of my back so half a bottle isn't bad. However, it being shampoo three and one I would say dye your hair, the color you want it to be and then find it in this shampoo and use it once or twice a week and you will upkeep your beautiful color. ❤️❤️❤️

I absolutely love this now, but I admit when I first started using it, there were a couple of hiccups. The first time I bought this, I was looking for a more affordable alternative to Overtone (fabulous product, but it’s so expensive). For reference, my hair is naturally light brown, and I had been coloring it dark purple for years, solely with Overtone Extreme Purple. I never pre lighten, so that, coupled with mixing products could have played a role in my color woes that I’m about to describe. I first used the Punky Colour 3-in-1 in the shade Purpledacious alone for several consecutive washes, to see if it could maintain my color. While it made my hair look and feel amazingly soft and silky, and I noticed that my hair didn’t really fade at all, it went from a blue-toned blackish purple to being more red-toned; like a dark burgundy. I stopped using it. After some experimenting, I started making my own homemade color depositing conditioner. That concoction gave me back my color, but the conditioner I use in it isn’t the most hydrating (however it works beautifully with the color I add to it, so as side note, I highly recommend using a conditioner without any silicones if you’re going to make your own “Overtone”). I missed how my hair felt after I used this stuff, so I tried alternating between one wash with my homemade product, and one wash with the Punky Colour 3-in-1. That was the magic trick for me! I’m now able to maintain my color and still have soft, glossy hair. If you’re happy with the color this gives you, none of that would obviously be an issue, but I wanted to share that you may need to account for the undertones of any color you’re already using if you use this in conjunction with something else. I love that this doesn’t stain my tub, but of course it (temporarily) stains skin, so I just wear disposable gloves when applying and rinsing it. It doesn’t lather much, so I see it as more of a cleansing conditioner than an actual shampoo. I noticed when I used it by itself for a couple of weeks, that my hair started feeling a bit weighed down, so for that reason, I now typically use a gentle shampoo first, and then use this. It makes a huge difference. And it has great slip, so I don’t need to use a ton to work it through all my hair. The price is fair for how long it lasts me. I can honestly say that this product allows me to maintain my perfect color and have healthy looking and feeling hair. I will definitely keep repurchasing. I’m currently on my third bottle!

I got my hair dyed a semi-permanent purple that honestly was more pink than purple. I wanted to buy this product to help stretch out how often I'd need to use the dye and I was not disappointed! It has a bubblegum smell, an almost toothpaste consistency out of the bottle, but then it gets like super creamy when in contact with wet hair. My dark brown has grown in about 3 or 4 inches out and it's a about time to do a bleach + dye session again. I used this product today and I LOVE that Punky tints the brown to match the purple (because hot tip- certain shades of brown can look green right next to fantasy purple colors. Sucks, but that's color science for you.) So the fact that my hair needs a dye isn't super obvious. This dark violet is what I got after leaving it in for 20 minutes, 5 minutes it is much lighter (and you may need to use this product more frequently if you're trying to maintain just a light tint). The tint itself is a little heavy on the blue which in my opinion is what you want in a product like this since blue usually washes out the easiest and red stays forever, and purple has to be a mix between the two. It stays the most vibrant for about 3 washes if you're like me and you use gentle products intended for curly hair, and I can get 6 washes before needing to reapply if I really try to stretch it (and then you get to see multiple shades of purple as your hair gets lighter which can be fun!) It definitely gets on everything lol so make sure you have a spray bottle of bleach for the tub and a towel you don't care gets colored. Once it's dry there is no color transfer, and I haven't had it bleed into my clothes when I get caught in the rain or swimming. Excellent product, highly recommend!
