Do you move a lot? Did you just buy your first house? Are you decorating your first child's room? Then you must try this gadget as it will come handy quite often. Out of the box, all you have to do is (1) put in the two AAA batteries. (2) Press the On button, which is the triangle with an eye in the center. Vola you got yourself a laser gadget"(3) I wear glasses so i went and got a magnifier to be able to read the instructions. I was a little bit skeptical at first as I thought the laser will not be accurate in measuring distances. So I measured 1 meter and tested the device to see if it gives me the same measurement of 1meter and it did. As you must have already guessed I use the metric system and I was so happy to see that this gadget has metric, feet only and inches only as prefix setting.

I love this little gadget. 😎 I bought it measure my listings, on my new homes, as I am a Real Estate Agent. It works perfect. It came with a case and a warranty card. It easy to use.

Update: I submitted my initial comment on a Saturday; today is Monday and a replacement device was delivered. Great service! It turned on and started working like a champ. 5 stars are in order. Like an earlier review, it did not turn on regardless of different AAA batteries used. I will return for replacement or refund.

This is a helpful tool as a police officer I use it to measure distances on car crashes.I like that it comes in a carry case.

If you need extremely precise measurement this is probably not what you want, but it does seem to measure to within 1/4" either side of the exact measurement. Good value for occasional approximate home use. Not the easiest devise to use, but not especially difficult.

I don’t know that I can fairly judge this product because unfortunately it never even turned on for me. The item I received must have been defective because I tried several different batteries but it just never turned on :(

Not accurate..

Only problem I had was doesn't work if subject is in direct sunlight Any shade and it does see the laser. Good product.
