When we turn on auto tracking function for this camera, it will sense motion(any movement) and track the moving objects in the 360 domain. And the camera will return to the initial position after a period of automatic tracking.

will the power adapter operate camera a distance of 100 feet?

Hi Thomas, Yes, 100 feet is good. This camera can be powered by power adapter and POE set(poe injecter and poe switch), if you want to extend the power adapter, please extend the AC line, do not extend the DC line, it may cause lower voltage. If you use poe set to power the camera, 100 feet cable can power the camera, while please choose a poe set which can offer at least 40w, there is poe set from IMPORX, you can search "imporx poe set" on amazon if you need.
