This unit seems well built and has worked very well in my short time of use. The Hide function worked very well as if helped me find a property corner that was only inches from a steel post. The only issue is the battery compartment is a little difficult to remove and reinstall the batteries. Otherwise it would be a 5 star review. I am a retired land surveyor and use it to locate corners on my rental properties.

I have an older one I bought 15 years ago or more this one seems to be too sensitive and goes off easily but it seems to be a high-quality I'll just have to get used to it

Overall very good only dislike is the battery compartment design the hinge is a weak point and will eventually break off.
