Very American and there are some omissions, but otherwise very interesting and informative with beautiful presentation.

This was a gift for an elderly farmer, he was delighted.

Good book, great photographs and informative. Most breeds are covered and includes a description and photo.

informative,lovely to look through

I bought this book due to my interest in agriculture and while I found it an interesting review of the breeds covered I was a bit disapointed how strongly it was linked to the American industry instead of covering the breeds on a general basis. Approxiamtely half of each description was about how they fit into the american livestock industry and the development since they have arrived in the country. While it is interesting to be able to compare the differences between breeds in this country with breeds in America I probably wouldn't have purchased this book had I known it had this emphasis.
