UPDATE: Still going strong in Feb 2021. Good product.----------VAX have not had these service items (replacement filters) in stock for a couple of years now. Thankfully this one fitted and so far works well in my Power Midi 2 model C89-PM2-B with only very minor filing (only fractions of a mm ) of the three black plastic lugs that position it in the dust bowl. Other reviews had found the same. It is also washable - tested that already - as some others reportedly are not. Cleaner definitely sucking as good as new now.What with all this about the environment, CO2, and the EU recently legislating about the max wattage you can have for a vacuum cleaner the elephant in the room is how companies like VAX can just make thousands of vacuum cleaners go to the tip way before their time by no longer selling consumable parts like the filters, and hope everyone buys a brand new one. When you consider the amount of raw materials and energy that went into making every VAX cleaner and it all goes to the tip (except maybe if you are luck a small amount of copper will be recycled from the motor). Madness.Same happened to my VAX dust buster hand held - 18mths old and needed a new battery. Phoned up helpline only to be told it is no longer a current model and they don't have any spare or service parts like batteries.

Bought for Vax midi power 2. Looks exactly the same as original parts. As others have said it needs a little mod to make it lock into place. A little sandpaper to the locating notches does the trick, otherwise works well and happy so far

I can't say anything about the performance yet but the filter doesn't fit C89-PM2-B. Unfortunately, my flatmate had forced the filter in the casing when it arrived and I only realised after the return window had closed that it actually doesn't fit properly (see image, bending the orange casing "makes" it fit but that's obviously going to lead to either the filter or the casing breaking at some point). It was too late to return the item so I sanded the three tabs that stick out to the side down a bit. Would obviously be better, if one didn't have to do that.

Have to admit this is the second time I have purchased and found them very good. It is useful that the filters can be washed out.The real secret I feel is to clean the filter after each use which will lengthen the life expectancy and limit having to wash out - this will maintain the performance of the machine

It’s just like having a new hover it makes a great clean up job now with no odder like dry muck now as new

perfect fit. My daughter used the Hoover to clean up some water and made stink:-( . changed the filters and all is good in the world

They work but the main one needed a bit of a rub with some sand paper to fit.

Wasn’t comparable and the return Costs were almost the price of the refund.
