This trash can is perfect if the look you are going for is rustic like I was trying to achieve. I’m sure this trash can will work for other looks as well. The only issue this trash can has is the metal ring that holds the the bag is slightly too loose and falls down causing the wooden top piece to not sit flush with the trash can. However, this can be fixed by playing some double-sided tape on ONE side of the ring. DO NOT expose the other side of the tape. You can also place the tape inside the trash can at the height you want the ring to sit. Again. Do not expose the other side of tape. Other than that tiny issue, this is a great trash can!!

Exactly what I hoped: sleek, black, kinda disappears behind the leg of the desk, and the partial lid means I'm not looking at the contents all day. And the price is great. It's true: the lid doesn't fit exactly into the bin, but this is a consequence of having something so incredibly clean and simple and fairly-priced. Making it fit exactly would 10x the price. SO: simple solution: 1-2 layers of black electrical tape around the edge of the lid makes the lid larger and stickier, so it sits right where you want it, but it's totally invisible as it blends in with the metal can. (For me:1 layer all around, 2 at the ends.) Also: note that the lid is finished on both sides, but has a significant taper/bevel on its edge which means that one side is truly the top. It fits better if you make sure the wider side is up.

This is my second bin from Yamazaki. The other is the same model but rectangular. These are very stylish. They look great compared to anything else I’ve seen. There is a metal retainer bar that sits inside that holds the trash bag in place which is an awesome touch. I did have to order a new retainer after my maid through it away accidentally. So make sure to tell your cleaners about it if you use them. These cost a bit more but as with all of Yamasaki’s products you know you’re getting something very well made. These are made of strong powder coated steel with a wooden lid that is stylish and cool. I really dig it.

I love this trash can - super elegant and slim

I really wanted to love this trash can because the design looked great online — sleek and modern with that walnut wood finish. But once it arrived, I was pretty let down. It’s way smaller than I expected, and for the price, I assumed it would feel more substantial. The "walnut" looks and feels pretty fake, almost like a printed veneer. Definitely not worth the premium price. It looks nice from a distance, but up close it just doesn’t hold up. Wouldn’t buy again.

I really like this little bin. The Walnut is a really nice grain on both sides of the lid, and the concave design is really clever. Perfect to tuck away when for space is scarce in a room. Expensive tho, but the Walnut quality made it worth the price.

Great but fiddly to position the bag concealer parts. If you look at my photos you will see that the 2 pieces rely completely on wedging them in the tapered bin correctly and wrapping the bag around the hoop neatly. It looks great and fits great when you get it right but its very easy to go on crooked several times before you succeed. The pieces cannot fall to the bottom fyi. Despite that though there are not many nice looking non-kitchen style hidden bag trash cans on the market so I'm happy to have bought this and will get more if i need any other small trash cans.

Heavy duty metal and nicely crafted top. Looks great in my home office. The size is okay but if you generate a lot of trash each week then I recommend that you find a larger trash can. This is for light use only.

Wir wollten einen schönen, oben offenen Mülleimer für das Schlafzimmer. Preislich für uns an der Obergrenze. Aber da er nicht aus Plastik ist und solide gearbeitet, ist es okay. Er ist schön schmal und wirkt hochwertig. Wir sind zufrieden mit dem Kauf.

悪いところ ・木の蓋部分の端っこが少しづつ欠けていく(通常使用の範囲)。フローリング補修パテで直して使ってる。 良いところ ・とにかくスタイリッシュ ・ちょうど良い大きさ ・本体部分頑丈 ・少し重いのが逆に動かないので良い 壊れたらまた買うかと言われたらおそらくyes。でも家が潰れでもしない限り壊れなさそう。

Bit too expensive for my tastes but you do get a proper trash can out of it

Ich habe den Papierkorb wegen seines ästhetischen Designs gekauft. Er gefällt mir sehr gut, war jedoch recht teuer.

As other reviewers have noted, the lid does not usually/easily sit at the top, flush and flat with the edge of the metal bin like it is shown in the pictures. If you attempt to gently place it on, it usually tilts. However, I still really, really like this product. It can take a little extra care to get the lid flat and more effort to keep it high up instead of sinking in a centimetre or so but I really don't mind the look of it sunk in a bit. I do feel the bin should be a bit more affordable but it is rare to find a bin that hides the bag and even more rare to find such an elegant looking one. I absolutely would purchase this again and am not disappointed at all in the appearance or use.
