Best phonics out there! I have taught this programme to primary school children, including my own, and purchased this set to use with my granddaughter. Such a good place to start with little ones even before they start school. I highly recommend!

This is a good set backed up with instructions on how to use them in various ways to build up recognition of the letters and how to form simple words (and exercising all of that in various ways). Our keen 2.5 year old hasn't got the hang of blending to form words yet, but he does now pronounce almost all single letters and "sh" and "th". This is after 2 weeks of 5-10 minutes daily. Since he is so little, I didn't insist on blending but just built up knowledge of the letter shapes and phonic sounds. Using the plain letter as the test, and then switching to the picture-shaped-as-a-letter side of the card if he didn't get it first time, has worked for us. He remembers odd things off the cards (j-j-j-jack in a box) and sometimes asks to go through them himself. The suggestion to say p-p-p-pencil or whatever seems to help him see the letter as a sound by itself and also part of a word. There are also plain picture cards (no letters) which I think are designed to give awareness of the letter sounds separately from the letter shapes. I think you have to be willing to improvise around the materials according to what works best in the moment and to be flexible, so we are doing things slightly out of order and will get back to blending soon, perhaps in combination with other materials. I'm happy with how he has taken to these cards and picked up the ideas so quickly.If there is any criticism, I could say that the picture mnemonics for "ch" and "sh" are a bit difficult to work with (snake + horse = ???), so I haven't used them and instead have tried to associate the letter shapes directly with other things he knows with that sound, or getting him to trace over the letter shapes with his finger, which seems to be working -- as I say, you have to be flexible. "I thiNK I stiNK" and "ThiNG on a striNG" seem to work as mnemonics, though.

The media could not be loaded. I love this phonics flashcards. I used it to reinforce sound blending for my autistic son, who is a visual learner. It is great to teach not just alphabets but sound blending at home. It is colorful and engaging as it has pictures on them. I have used this in various ways and it is well loved by my kids.

Only starting but my child is enjoying it so far.Only feedback is when the cards are out of order it's a pain to figure out the order again!

Got these flash cards, and the More Phonics ones, as a help while home schooling my son. We use them as a visual prompt to help him blend sounds while writing and reading, as even though he knows the sounds, he struggled to blend them together, and as he’s a very visual learner I thought it would help him catch on a bit if he could see large pictures in front of him. So in that aspect it works very well! And he enjoys making up his own CVC words with them. My younger one also likes them in a basic preschool way, we look at the pictures and say the letter. I’m not actually using the instructions that came with them, so can’t comment on that, but wanted these particular cards as his school uses Read Write Inc.All in all I think they’re great, probably not the most long lasting, and I have a feeling the edges will go quickly, but I think they’ll last us a couple of years and that’s good enough for the price.Edit: I saw some reviews sayin q is missing. Q is represented as qu, so there will be no singular q in the pack.
