Nice, Quality Chef's Knife
This is a great knife. It's a very handy, usable size, sharp, and a good weight. It's perfect for slicing meats, such as ham or a firm roast. It is also a good size for chopping vegetables or nuts. It is dishwasher safe but I would hand wash is just to avoid dulling. If you don't have hundreds to invest in quality knives, this is a nice, reasonable alternative. I am very pleased with my purchase of this, the paring knife set, and the 4-1/2-Inch Round Tip, Wavy Edge Knives I've recently bought. Watch for deals and dropped prices and I think you will be too.

Works perfectly for grapefruit
For years I had been sawing away at my grapefruit every morning with a bread knife... until I bought this superb serrated Victorinox knife. It performs admirably with grapefruit, and almost anything else. Although it has an excellent ergonomic handle that makes it easy to maintain lateral stability, do not use it without paying close attention to what you're doing. The blade is so sharp, carelessness could land you in the hospital.

Excellent all around kitchen knife
I've used Victorinox knives for years and have been impressed with the quality for the price. I wanted to get a low-maintenance knife for my parents and knew the wave-serrated blade would do everything they needed and stay sharp for a long time with minimal upkeep. The Fibrox grip is comfortable & ergonomic, and is grippy even when wet. It slices fruit, veggies and meat like butter. If I could only have one knife, this would be the one.

Best sandwich knife among other things
Professional Chef here, this knife is one that I always have in my kit. I buy a new one about every 5 years or so. I usually have to replace mine because I tend to give knives to cooks that need them. It’s cheap and it works. If your looking at this knife you either already know that or you should just buy it now and find out.

GOOD CHEF'S KNIFE
This knife feels good in my hand and cuts very well. The stainless steel is harder than the soft stuff used in knives made in China, so it should hold its edge better and therefore work better longer. It's a good deal.

Excellent knife
Loved mine so much, bought one for my 92 year old mother. She loves it. Sharp. Solid construction. Lightweight. Excellent maneuverability.

Should come with a warning
I own several good knives but not a chef knife with a serrated blade. It is an excellent knife, reasonably priced and comfortable to hold. It is VERY sharp and you can easily cut yourself if you start treating it like any other shorter serrated knife. I learned that the hard way but I am starting to reach for it all the time now!

Everyone should add this knife to their collection
I find myself using this knife more than my much loved 8" chefs knife. It is incredibly sharp. I am not a novice and have handled knives for many years, safely and carefully. Somehow I managed to underestimate the sharpness of this knife and immediately upon washing it the first time I dried it and very superficially cut my hand. My bad. This is an Excellent knife. Light weight, slightly flexible blade compared to my forged knives, but very easy to handle. Great for slicing tomatoes, sandwiches, hard crust bread - just about anything. Too flexible to use on anything hard like a melon.Order this knife at this great price. You will not be disappointed.
