Superb!
This book was spot on - you only need 3 days at most in Montreal, it's a small city. I went for a week - I should have, as the guide suggested, made it a two city holiday with the week split between Montreal and Quebec. As such I needed to fill time and this book generously recommended lots of things too see which are interesting but not necessary to understand the history and the culture of Montreal. It's Top 10 are more than enough to see and are truly the highlights of the city. The map which had and enlarged version of the city on one side was medium sized print which meant I could read it without reading spectacles. It was laminated so waterproof, and broke the city up into sections. I really would use this guide again and any more in the series as it's spot on. The shopping malls are naff so not worth visiting - Claire's Accessories anyone? but walking from one to another helps to become orientated. They are grouped together Downtown. Be warned, there are not eateries listed for vegetarians/vegans - this is because Montreal is way behind such places as Halifax, NS (yes really!.) However, top tip, visit "Lov" on Rue Montaigne - it's super busy, 100% vegan, fantastic choices and the going rate. Overall, love this guide. Montreal isn't worth a second visit but I will use it for Quebec as I work my way through Canada. Superb, A+

Great little guidebook and laminated map
This little paperback with the laminated street map was invaluable for our recent week in Montreal, didn’t find the kindle version as usable. In any case the book is small enough to fit in a med size handbag or v small rucksack, we carried it everywhere.

Covers two cities
Ok, but you have to trawl through pages looking for Quebec if you are not visiting Montreal. Not as easy to use as other Dk travel books purchased and used

Prefer Lonely Planet pocket guides
I usually buy the Lonely Planet pocket guides for cities that we visit which I think are great, but couldn't find for Montreal and Quebec City. This guide was the alternative and I found it difficult to navigate and confusing as both Cites were listed as 1 in each section. The sections didn't seem logical either.
