Q: can somebody please provide a step by step instruction sheet, where water goes?, what the big tub is for? the instructions i have are uncomprehendable

The big tub is purely aesthetic ie giving height to the plant, I can't give a step by step guide on how to assemble the inner tub as it's been some time since I did mine, what I can remember is that you need to assemble the reservoir and float to the inner tub then put the supplied fertilizer/feed into tub, top up tub (inner) with compost then plant. At his point I then placed the inner tub into the outer tub. To water, you first need to remove the small plastic cap from the top of reservoir & float then add water, the float will indicate when there is enough water, then replace cap. hope this helps.

Q: is the inner liner same size as the exterior pot?

Hello. No they are not the same height. The liner is a bit smaller.

Hi Kathy P., Yes! this Lechuza planter can be used outside, there is a drain plug to enable rainwater to drain away. Lovely planters and I put mine outside in the summer and bring in during the winter, make sure you tighten the drain plug before bringing them back indoors though! Hope this helps.
