CURAD Petroleum Jelly, Skin Protectant and Moisturizer, 1 oz. Tube

I purchased Curad Petroleum Jelly to use after a surgery, and it was exactly what I needed. It kept the area well-moisturized and protected, and I truly believe it helped with healing. What really stood out to me is the tube design—it makes application so much cleaner and more hygienic compared to traditional tubs. I didn’t have to dip my fingers into anything, which was a huge plus, especially when trying to keep things sterile.The formula itself is smooth, non-irritating, and not overly greasy. It applied easily and stayed in place, creating a nice barrier without feeling heavy. For somebody that grew up always having petroleum jelly in the bathroom cabinets, I found myself as an adult with none available. Haven’t used it in decades. I needed to use it for a wound a couple of months ago and I read somewhere to not use petroleum jelly out of a jar because every time you open and close that jar and put your fingers in there too grab some petroleum you are contaminating that jar with bacteria. The medical recommendation was to use petroleum jelly out of a tube so that you just push it out and the inside of the tube is not contaminated. I haven’t used petroleum jelly in so long that I did not even know they came in tubes. So my first thought was check Amazon. I was thrilled that I could find it here. It worked great. And now I know I have it in my cabinet just in case I need it again for future use and I know it won’t be collecting bacteria.

Easy to carry with me. My lips must be kept moisturized due to medical condition and the tube fits well in the inside pocket of my fleece vest.

I found this a lot easier to use when trying to give some Vaseline to my cat.

I’m sure it works fine for the intended purpose, I bought it to lubricate the threads of a tube of RTV, which was recommended by a reviewer of the RTV because the RTV gums up the threads and doesn’t seal out air. In my case the cap still cracked, bad RTV packaging

These tubes are the perfect size to throw in a diaper bag or travel bag. They don’t leak which is great!

This has helped my severely dry and painfully cracked hands in such a short time! I tried other creams and lotions for dry/cracked hands but they still stung or my hands were so dry it's like it completely absorbed the product but my hands were still dry and cracked and did not look moisturized at all. Yes, it will feel a bit greasy (hence the petroleum) but it moisturizes better than anything I've been using for the past several months. I like the size of the tube which makes it easy to carry in my purse or car and easy application, no weird smell or scent. I will be ordering another one to keep handy.
