Mazinger Z Great Mazinger (Mazinger Z Infinity Ver.), Bandai HG 1/144

Amazing kit. I tried some new panel lining colors -- mostly metallic gunmetal gray -- on the panel lines and section lines. It elevates the build. I grew up watching Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger as a kid in Japan, this Infinitism kit is a wonderful, fierce, modern interpretation that preserves the essence of the original anime character.

The description should clearly state that this is a PUZZLE to build into the action figure in the picture. It brings instructions that at times can be challenging to follow, but it is doable. It arrives as a series of miniscule pieces to be put together, to be built into the action figure. You have to take the time to build it. And then some of the smaller pieces can easily fall apart. If you decide to venture into this, buy it and challenge yourself to build it, make sure to have some strong glue by your side, because even if you manage to build it, which we did, the pieces easily fall off. So, having a strong glue or silicone handy is important. Once you manage to build it, it is a beautiful piece. Is it worth the trouble? Depends on who's is intended for. Certainly not for anyone under 10 to play with. It is more of a collectors item to store in a case for show. Not to play with.

Item received as advertised. All in good condition. However, the box was not sealed or taped. I had to tally the number of packets and connecting groups to ensure no missing parts and all intact. Seller, please at least tape the box for such item in future. Your buyers will thank you with much appreciation.

Exactamente lo que ves en las fotos. Es una figura con un alto nivel de detalle para su tamaño, sin querer decir que se vea pequeña, tiene un tamaño estandar. Montarla lleva su tiempo si no estás acostumbrado a este tipo de figura/maqueta, porqué SÍ, HAY QUE MONTARLA, y no son pocas piezas. Pero no es dificil de montar, ni se necesita pegamento, ni tampoco cuesta demasiado encontrar las piezas si le haces caso al manual de instrucciones, que para eso está. Solamente es laborioso, que no dificil. Luego el resultado vale toda la pena. La figura tal cual ya luce muy bien, pero si te gusta aportar un valor añadido a tus figuras, con tan solo un poquito de pintura negra y plateada, en 20 minutillos (dependiendo del mimo que le pongas) harás que el impacto visual de la figura se triplique. De hecho los model kits suelen estar pensados para customizar al gusto una vez montados. Y para mi, mucho mejor eso que gastarse 200 pavos en la versión de metal, que total tiene el mismo tamaño y luego nunca te atreverías a tocarla ni con un puntero laser, ya no hablo de pintarla.... Igualmente, recordad que no son figuras para que jueguen los chavales, sinó para ocupar un preciado hueco en la estantería. Así que si lo que buscas es un regalo para que juegue tu niño que le ha dao por Mazinger Z, mejor busca otra opción, que las hay, no muchas pero si buscas alguna hay:) Y si lo que quieres es una pieza de colección, solo digo que hay muy pocas figuras que ofrezcan tanto detalle por ese precio, así que no te lo pienses!!

Joints aren’t floppy, instructions are clear and the kit is fun for beginners, intermediates and experts alike. Bang for your buck.
