Life in Motion: An Unlikely Ballerina Young Readers Edition

This was an amazing book. My 9 year old daughter couldn't put it down. My daughter loves ballet and she is also mixed. So she was very interested in Misty Copelands story. She told me about each chapter and I just had to read it for myself. I would recommend it to anyone. It was a fantastic story.

I loved reading a bit of this with my daughter. And loved even more that my daughter read most of this on her own. The book kept her attention right up to the end. This book is very easy to read and tells an incredible story of Misty Copeland’s life as a young dancer. The story is amazing, just not masterfully told in this book. The reading level is very obviously aimed at 8-10 year old readers.

If you have a child who loves ballet or wants to read an inspiring story of someone confronting adversity, working hard, and triumphing, this is it. My girls and i read this together in the evenings and they loved it. She is amazing and a true American icon.

My daughter is really enjoying this book. She is in third grade and is doing her project on Misty Copeland. She read the beginner readers edition first, so this was a good expansion.

My ballet-obsessed daughter is so encouraged by Misty's story, especially the parts about accepting your body how it's made. She's also a good writer! Well done, Misty! You're an inspiration.

My daughter loved this book. It was inspiring to read about a young girl that never gave up on herself or her dreams.

My 13 yr old daughter read this book in 7 days. She couldn't put the book down. LOVED IT!
