O'Neill Women's Reactor USCG Life Vest

Bought a size 10, which their chart says is for 36-38" chest. Received a Large, sized for 39-42" chest. I know I'm a women's Medium in lifejackets, had I known their actual sizes were S/M/L I would have purchased accordingly, but they only give 2/4/6/8/10/12 sizes. Frustrating and inaccurate. Will be returning.On the plus side, the jacket appears to be good quality, love the teal color, and arrived on time. So, 2 stars for that.

I liked this vest and it fit as expected, but the Connelly U-Hinge Neoprene vest won out because it has more range of flex and felt less bulky at the top front, and I liked the decorative pattern of the Connelly better. But this O'Neil vest was my second choice and it wasn't an easy decision. The O'Neil vest has some details that shows it's quality - such as a small velcro flap that covers the zipper when zipped. And straps long enough that they tuck into the sides without need of a keeper. This O'Neil vest is a bit bulkier at the top front area with larger foam pieces, as compared to the smaller foam pieces in the Connelly vest. Although the O'Neil vest does flex, it doesn't flex as much for me as the Connelly, and I felt the Connelly fit me better with the greater degree of flex at the split panels. I had gotten the O'Neil Size 8 based on the size chart and it fit well. I am 5'6", 145#, 38 inch bust. If I hadn't also tried the Connelly I would have kept the O'Neil.

Item itself looks great. The sizing is difficult as the life vest comes in Xtra Small / Small / Medium / Large but you are asked to choose a numerical size. For the record size 4 arrives as an Extra Small and I was looking for a size Small. Would have avoided a 7 dollar return shipping charge if the sizing was aligned with what's on the jacket rather than the number.

I am normally a womens size medium in just about anything, my chest measures 36 inches so I went with the size 8 listed above. When I opened the box it looked small from my initial reaction but wasn’t too concerned.I have a normal cotton T-shirt on and when I put the vest, I can barely breathe- no lie lol. I loosened the straps, but zippering it doesn’t change the size at all of course. Definitely cannot use, as it is way too small. The print on the vest says medium (36-39inch chest size) but that is not true. I even used a flexible measuring tape used for tailoring suits to measure myself before buying so I’m assuming their sizing is off.The vest is bulkier than my O’Brien vest also. I am debating between just buying a bigger size or going with the O’Brien brand.

Sizing is NOT correct. I bought size 8 which says 36-39 chest- absolutely not! I'm chest size 36 and it barely fits. The straps adjust but it's tight to zip up. Don't think it will stretch but I can make it wrk, but any bigger than 36 don't buy 8, will be uncomfortably tight. Quality looks nice, but come on Amazon, make these China sellers post accurate sizing

The vent is nice and I really like the colors. However, being 5'9, the vent is a little short, hitting mid torso and the give around the bust line, well there is none. I'm deciding whether or not to return, which is sad because I really do like the design of the vent.

I bought this along with my husband's O'neill life vest. I was slightly disappointed that in comparison it is a little bulkier than his, but I understand that this might be necessary since it is US Coast Guard approved. It is a little tight on me when zipping it up. I'm 5'3", 120 lbs. I ordered the small, but probably should have considered a medium for my chest. Other than it being a little snug, and slightly bulkier than I expected, it is comfortable enough and does the job!

The sizing is a little funky but I went off of my pant size and it fit just like I expected it to. This jacket also has a Velcro strip over the zipper and neoprene sleeves over the buckles that keep them protected. Also the coloring is a little different in person, the body looks navy but is a little more of a purple color. Still very pretty though!

Leí todos los comentarios y la mayoría coincidían en que venían reducidos que se pidieran 2 tallas más y etc, y es una vil mentira, la gente compra sin checar la tabla de medidas, y no se mide antes de comprar, yo tomé una cinta métrica y medí el contorno busto, (40) pulgadas que corresponde a la talla 10 L que vienen publicada en la última fotografía y desgraciadamente hice caso a los comentarios de la gente que no toma una cinta métrica antes de comprar y ordene la talla (12) XL que es para un contorno busto de 42 a 45 pulgadas y obviamente me quedo grande, ahora espero que al momento de andar en el agua no se me suba de los hombros como mi viejo salvavidas de hule espuma que me hacía lucir horrible, no voy hacer el cambio de talla ya que soy de México y estaría pagando los gastos de aduana y de envío. 😔Así que mi recomendación es que se midan antes de ordenar y hagan caso a la tabla de medidas y no de la gente que como yo sé deja guiar por los comentarios de los demás.Debo mencionar que decía envío de 1 a 3 meses y a mí me llegó en 9 días así que fue excelente.Chicas no compren la talla que por lo regular son, mídanse antes de comprar y chequen la tabla de medidas, recuerden que no todas las marcas y modelos son iguales.ACTUALIZACIÓNPese a que me cobraron el envío y los gastos aduanales decidí cambiar el chaleco salvavidas por una talla más pequeña, preferí pagar aproximadamente $600 pesos más que quedarme con un salvavidas que me quedara grande y que se le anduviera subiendo, de mi talla ya no había en azul y lo compré en negro, no me molesta pero el azul es mucho más bonito, este me quedo perfecto, talla L (10) para un contorno busto de 40 pulgadas, ya con mi talla correcta el único pero que le pongo es que es demasiado voluminoso, sobre todo del área del busto, así que si tienes mucho pecho y aparte unos kilos de más te hará lucir mucho las corpulenta de lo que ya estás.Por tal motivo le restó una estrella, el chaleco es de excelente calidad.

El chaleco llego a tiempo, soy talla extra smal mi Bra es 34B pedi la talla Smal un numero mas que el mio y esta bien es justo pero me cierra casi pedi mediano que bueno no pedi. Lo uso p wake surf flota basicamente bien. Se siente muy grueso enfrente pero al hacer el deporte no interfiere y hace su papel.

Esta muy estorboso! Consideren bien la talla me quedo grande, mido 1.63 cm y peso 62kg y uso 34-B y realmente me queda un poco grande. No se que tanto se vaya a subir con el agua. Pufff creí que sería una buena compra.Revisen muy bien la talla chicas.Suerte con su compra.
