I bought this for my mother in law - she often takes a towel or napkin when home and wears like a bib to protect her clothes. She jokingly asked if I knew were to buy a dental chain bib for when she's out in public to "look more pulled together" - well here you go! She took to her next ladies lunch and they all went crazy over it - telling her how "smart" and "beautiful" it was "a great snazzy accessory" - LOL a few have asked where they could get their own for ladies lunches! I love that she was so tickled by it and the hit of her luncheon! But mostly I love that it's functional! If you have someone who could one don't hesitate - it's a great gift!

A great device for anyone not just the elderly. It woks great on my 99 year old mother. No longer does she have to wonder where her napkin is. Only negative-it's a bit long, which leaves the napkin hang too low on the chest.

I’ve been getting bits of my meals on various shirts and ties for over 50 years. Salad oil, tomato sauces, sometimes just a little spot that everyone notices. Sometimes the dab of water on a napkin works, sometimes it doesn’t. My mom is 96 and has used a similar napkin holder for years. I don’t know where she got it but it’s always with her. I finally decided to take the plunge, researching perhaps 25 similar items on Amazon. Many looked like they wouldn’t have lasted a week or had no grip capability when it came to the napkin. This Upgrade Chain appeared to have the bite needed and didn’t appear to be flimsy. I introduced it a a couples dinner while on vacation at Zion National Park. It actually looks like a piece of jewelry, not being a jewelry wearer I explained my propensity to destroy shirts. The end of dinner found four healthy stains nicely trapped on the napkin. Don’t be discouraged by the price, this baby works.

1 of the 2 I received was made inaccurately. The clip closes slightly crookedly and holds napkin too lightly allowing out to slip out if tugged at all. However, they sparkle beautifully and shine like silver more lovely than any jewelry way above expectations. Amazing appearance and elderly mom loves them.

Gave this as a gift to an elderly person and the clip fell off the chain and had to be fixed three times. The chain should be soderized to prevent this from happening. Great idea but not reliable. Recipeient was disappointed.
