You HAVE to try this thing
I ordered one of these because I remember my father had one when I was a kid that he would use on his sore muscles after doing yard work. I am in technology so my muscles are not sore from physical work, but rather from sitting in front of a computer for way too long. I thought this was worth a shot considering the low price. When it arrived, it looked very much like the one my father had. The vibrating mechanism on his was made of metal and not plastic and this seemed a little lighter in weight so I was worried at first that it would be weak and useless. I have had knotted muscles in my back for YEARS that ache pretty much constantly. The main pain point is right behind my right shoulder blade because I am right handed and have that arm on the mouse all of the time. I have tried professional massage which was somewhat effective but expensive. Other than that I have to try and live with the constant ache. I tried it out and was happy to see that it still packed a pretty good punch so I asked my husband to go after the knotted muscles in my back with this thing. TEN MINUTES. TWO NIGHTS. The ache is gone. I was in tears of happiness as I had forgotten what it felt like to relax and not feel the pinching and aching in my back. The reason it works for me is that it is pretty powerful and you can put the nub-attachment on a pinched spot and just let it sit there for a minute or so while it works out the spot. At the same time the vibration is loosening all the muscles in a 2-3 inch radius of the knot. Although my husband used to try to rub by back for me a person's hands get tired after awhile, and no one can provide such fast vibrations with their hand and that is what really led to the relief for me and worked out all the kinks. I am buying one of these as a gift for everyone I know. It is amazing. Now for all the ladies who have been commenting on the *other* uses for this product. Well that's all true too, so this product is quite the multi-tasker. I would love to see Wahl make one of these with a longer handle so I can reach my own back when my husband is not around.

It could use a muffler!
Know that this is loud, so if you like a quiet, peaceful atmosphere, look elsewhere. And if you owned the previous version of this like I did and think it's just as good, it isn't. Beside the noise this makes, they've made the lower vibration lower, and the on/off switch, in my opinion, is cheap in comparison. My previous Wahl, which was a 2-speed with several identical attachments, lasted about ten years. This is the opposite of making a good model better. This is going back today.

Great massager!
I am very pleased with my Wahl massager purchase. We own several other massagers of the "deep heating" or "deep tissue" variety, but I was never satisfied with the overall performance. Most were heavy and awkward to use. All lacked the perfect balance of power and speed, somewhere missing the middle control between gentle manipulation and thumping terror. As a kid I remember my Dad owned a massager very similar to the current Wahl, and I remember it did the trick for his aching shoulders. I read the reviews, liked the price and bought the 4120-600. It comes with four different head attachments for: pin point/deep tissue massage, scalp massage, a wider general purpose head for shoulder and back, and a flat soft facial massage head. I generally only use the pin point deep tissue and general purpose heads, but other models include a greater variety if so desired. It has only 2 speeds, but both are adequate for my needs and seem a better balance than my previous massagers- plus you can get attachments to make that variable if you need to. It is well constructed, fits the hand ergonomically and efficiently does it's job to my satisfaction. It works so well that my skeptical wife gave it a try on her shoulders and neck. Since then she has taken ownership of it, singing it's praises just as I did. Because of it's effectiveness and to keep peace in the family, I will be buying another one of these, but will get the bigger attachment pack.

Too buzzy
Not enough setting variation. There’s “light tickle” & “annoying buzz”. After a couple uses it’s also rather loud. (I don’t know why every corded version of massager has only 2 settings when battery ones have 5-10 intensities & 5-20 patterns but this is no different, at least it was a cheap lesson. The classic “magic wand” design is too big & too intense & also has only 2 settings. I was looking for something *with a cord* that produced the intensity/pattern I need & this isn’t it either.) Pro: physical switch is easy to feel & find without looking. It only heats up after 30 minutes or so, which isn’t unwarranted, and is gradual enough to not seem dangerous (although, to my knowledge, there’s no auto shutoff). Even though it doesn’t work at all for me wrt happy ending massage, I use it as a physical analog to “white noise” to distract my nerves when nerve pain keeps me from sleeping, and tried to use it for tissue massage. It’s ok for the distraction and meh for massage. It has several heads, none of which I like very much. After a while the attachment collar tends to get soft and fall off if actually using to massage muscles with motion. The small handle isn’t comfortable/easy to hold, and holding with it makes the head falling off more likely. It turns on & vibrates, which is its job. It doesn’t rattle my hand that much which saves it from being useless. It’s medium loud & cheap. It’s not what I need but your mileage may vary.

To use this item you need to wear protective ear cancelling noice plugs as it is loud to the extreme

No where does it state the product is for use with 110 volts only. The product became very hot, in fact too hot to hold.
