Just a beautiful book, of particular interest to the Guyanese diaspora
Superb photography, revealing the remarkable architecture and clever design of these wooden buildings. Sadly, many have been lost to fire, decay and development. Historically very significant, the book faithfully records a peak in the development of this remarkable city. Will wooden buildings ever return?
