Does not leak
While the button on this style of spout has always required some force to hold down, alternative spouts are a lot like old men: they leak and have a very slow flow. This spout flows quickly and is water tight. The original, similar looking spout this item replaces had a red rubber shut off seal and white relatively hard installation seals. With time, the rubber seal hardened and leaked. The hard white seals required the addition of silicone rubber sealant when they were originally installed. This replacement unit has clear soft seals throughout (looks like they are silicone rubber). It was not necessary to supplement the installation seals with silicone rubber sealant to avoid leaks with a very finger tight installation. The shut off seal works perfectly, and, if it is silicone rubber, should remain soft and effective for a long time.

Will replace a Brita valve.
A nice replacement for the stock Brita one that stared leaking at the valve. Only time will tell if it will hold up. I like the design, easily use but hard to accidentally open.

Sturdy, easy to install, inexpensive
This spout fits the old style large rectangular Brita dispenser perfectly. I only needed to use 1 of the supplied washers for the correct fit. It was easy to install, took about 2 minutes. The push button is easy to operate and feels sturdy. I'm hoping it'll last a long time.

Perfect replacement for Brita dispenser valve
This valve is about 1/2 inch longer than my original Brita Dispenser valve and the washers are a bit thinner, but still works perfectly fine...no leaks or drips.

Sturdy with Good Volume
This product appears to be quite sturdy and give us good volume. The button requires some decent pressure (spring) but i suppose that means it will also not wear our and leak so quickly.

Direct replacement
Spigot is a direct replacement of the original spigot that had lasted nearly 30 years. Only the color is different. Easy to install, no leaks.
