Quality Campagnolo Bearings that do the job
Quality Campag bearings although the overall design of the BB systems isn't as good as older cartridge BB systems. The newer systems allow for water penetration and this is hard to guard against compared to a sealed system. 5,00 miles later and I am replacing bearings on my Campag chainset compared to an old Centaur bootom bracket cartridge that is still going strong after 20K + miles!

Quality tool for UT cranks
Did the job very well, better quality and smarter design than the old ParkTool puller I had used in past. Wish I had found this one first. The cone ring to keep the puller arms in place is a very smart design. Extracted the bearings from Ultra Torque cranks so easily. Just watch out that the bearing circlip has been removed on the drive side before attempting to remove the bearing. Job done for another few hundred km!

Good bearings but at a price
I built my new road bike last May using a mix of Campagnolo Centaur and Potenza. After a year of riding through all weathers I got the dreaded creaking noise from the BB area although there was no play in the cranks. I thought I'd best play it safe and order up some new bearings and I'm very glad I did. When I removed the cranks from the frame I saw that the drive side bearing was as when it was installed but the non-drive side was badly rusted and felt very gritty to turn.I removed the bearings using the excellent Thin Claw Bearing Puller which is MUCH cheaper than the Park Tools version.Be sure you remove the cir-clip from the drive side bearing first!I cleaned up the area where the bearings sit, added some fresh Park Tools grease, put on the dust cover/seal and then set the bearings using a piece of PVC pipe and a rubber mallet. The new bearings turned with a lovely buttery smoothness. The whole process went very smoothly and the bike now feels like new again. One thing I wasn't sure of was how often the bearing cups should be replaced....? They looked fine this time so I didn't bother. These bearings work very well and the fact they lasted 12 months matches the Shimano BB I used to have on my old road bike.Paying over £20 for two bearings is quite expensive though, I tried to find cheaper alternatives but couldn't find any I trusted for significantly less, hence I went for the genuine parts.I'll continue to try and find better value versions ready for next year.If you find my review helpful please hit the button below.
