essential part of my daily routine
I recently discovered the Sun Bum Tinted Lip Balm in the shade Bon Fire, and let me tell you, it's become an essential part of my daily routine! This lip balm offers the perfect combination of sun protection, hydration, and a subtle hint of color, making it a must-have for anyone who loves spending time outdoors. First and foremost, the SPF 15 protection is fantastic. Knowing that my lips are shielded from both UVA and UVB rays gives me peace of mind, especially on sunny days when I'm out and about. Plus, the broad-spectrum protection means that my lips stay safe from sun damage, keeping them healthy and youthful-looking. The tinted formula is another standout feature of this lip balm. The Bon Fire shade is a gorgeous warm red that adds a natural flush of color to my lips, enhancing my overall look without being too bold or overpowering. It's perfect for days when I want a subtle hint of color without the hassle of lipstick or gloss. I also love how hydrating this lip balm is. The formula is smooth, creamy, and lightweight, gliding effortlessly onto my lips and providing instant moisture and relief. Whether I'm dealing with dry, chapped lips or just want to keep them soft and supple, this lip balm does the trick every time. As someone with sensitive skin, I appreciate that this lip balm is paraben-free and oxybenzone-free. The gentle formula is suitable for even the most delicate skin types, providing nourishment and protection without causing irritation or discomfort.

Summer Lip Protection + HSA/FSA Approved 🙌
My first time buying a tinted sunscreen lip balm. My family lived outside this summer. I got this for the water-park. I like the tinted lip color. I got the color: Bonfire. It felt a little chalky but was not extreme. I may buy it again. *Update* I forgot to mention this is HSA/FSA Approved. Amazon has has a link for (FSA or HSA eligible Details) or you can do a quick google search (Features: UVA and UVB broad-spectrum protection.) I forgot that I did the Subscribe and Save, so updated my color to Raisin Hell to try a different one to see if still chalky. NOTE: Last year I over-calculated my HSA/FSA funds and used some extra money from my accounts. This year, I added money to my accounts to purchase HSA/FSA Approved products tax-free. I also do Subscribe and Save. I highly recommend this for saving money! Key Tax Benefits: Contributions made to an FSA are tax-free—not subject to payroll or income taxes. Distributions made for qualified medical expenses are not subject to taxes. Contributions made to an HSA are tax-free or tax-deductible. Distributions made for qualified medical expenses aren't subject to taxes.

Good Color – Comparison
Overall I’m happy with this color tinted lip balm considering it’s got SPF. It’s not like regular tinted chapstick (my personal favorite is Burtz Bees Pomegranate for long-lasting color and overall feel), but for how much is in it, the initial color, and the feel I don’t mind that the color doesn’t stay super well. I purchased two colors: Bonfire and Sandbar. Bonfire is by far my favorite between the two, and I wanted to show the difference for someone who can’t decide which color to get. For reference I’ve got an olive colored skin tone (despite how washed out I look in the pictures), and come summertime I darken drastically. I think Bonfire looks good on me in part because it’s only a few shades brighter than my natural lip color and because I have dark features. That said, it probably looks best on those with medium and dark complexions especially if you have dark features which are complimented by pink/red hues. I personally think the Sandbar color will look better once my skin darkens and there’s more contrast, and that said I think it’d look best on someone with either a fairer complexion or darker complexion than mine to best create that contrast.

protection with a hint of color
Dryer than most balms but still goes on smooth. Keep in the cooler not the beach bag so it doesn't melt. Learned that lesson with the first tube. Just a slight hint of color makes for really nice feel and look. Yes lips can burn and it's no fun when it does, so having a balm for the lips that is spf.....oh yes. Have ordered several times and will be getting more for the next vacation.

Overall it’s good
This does have a nice color but the taste is like what I’d imagine eating sunscreen would be like. I know it’s sunscreen, and it works well, just hate that taste. I always wear mineral sunscreen so just not used to such chemical smells but I like the color. It’s very gritty and chunky, but appears smooth on the lips. Don’t love the texture but again, it serves the purpose.

Feels Sticky
I’ve been a fan of Sun Bum products for years, so I was excited to try the SPF 15 Tinted Lip Balm Bonfire in the Hawaii Act flavor. Unfortunately, this lip balm didn't live up to expectations. While it provides some tint, the SPF 15 protection feels minimal, especially for outdoor activities under the sun. I found myself reapplying it frequently, which defeats the purpose of having long-lasting protection. Additionally, the texture is a bit sticky and uncomfortable, which makes it hard to wear for extended periods. The tinted color is subtle, but it’s not as moisturizing as other lip balms I’ve used. After a few hours, my lips felt dry and cracked. I also didn’t notice any significant soothing or moisturizing effects, which I was hoping for. Pros: Subtle tinted color for a natural look. Nice scent (Hawaii Act flavor). Cons: Minimal SPF protection; requires frequent reapplication. Sticky texture that feels uncomfortable on the lips. Not as moisturizing as expected. Does not provide long-lasting hydration or protection.

As soon as I tried opening the balm the lower part got unattached and broken from the mechanism to make the balm go up. And the color on the lips is lighter than it appears.

The lip balm comes up easily but doesn’t go down upon rotating it anti clockwise. This is too expensive a product to not function correctly. I had to manually press it down which distorted the shape of the product. Huge disappointment!!
