WEN 4288 Cast Iron Bench Grinder Pedestal Stand with Water Pot

Works great. It’s a little short for working at the grinder but that was corrected by adding 3 x 3” locking wheels. Now it’s at the right working height and I can move it around the shop. Even with the added height, it’s still fairly stable and I’m not too concerned with tipping when bearing down on a buffer or wire wheel.. Great value!!!

Overall a nice stand for a bench grinder; unfortunately the instructions to assemble (which should be incredibly easy) says that the set screws have been installed in the base, water bucket and top plate, but whoever was supposed to do that at the factory only installed them in top plate and water bucket. The base, which should have 2 set screws, just has 2 empty holes, looking all lonely.Otherwise a very nice stand, particularly for the money. It's just a shame that quality control is non-existent. Now I'm having to deal with a wobbly stand until I can get to home depot or order some m10 x10mm set screws on Amazon, which will take 3 weeks and cost me 20% of the cost of the stand to buy more than I need. Oh well, such is life with stuff from China. (I'm assuming it's made in China but haven't actually checked. For the price though, I'm sure it is>)

Assembly was a bit bothersome, but it got sorted out. I have been using this stand for my multi-speed wire wheel and stone grinder for nearly a year. It has performed its job well and was a perfect fit for my space and needs. I would strongly recommend this stand for the residential user.

The only complaint I would have would be that it does not bolt together. It only snaps together.

I'm going to keep it but to be honest it's not the best - suggest u check other options. The paint was not the greatest and came chipped (situational - I get it). I have a Ryobi grinder and when it runs the whole stand vibrates - its like running away from you (LOL) and it does not come with rubber feet.

Me gustó mucho este soporte para colocar el esmeril. Llegó en perfectas condiciones, lo ensamble en 5 minutos, a pesar de lo escueto de las instrucciones es bastante fácil de intuir e incluye la llave Allen para apretar los 6 tornillos que sujetan el tubo a la base, la charola para el enfriador y el soporte.Excepto el tubo y la base, que son de acero, el reto es de hierro colado. El producto está fabricado en China, pero la calidad es buena. No encontré defectos de fabricación y el producto armado y ajustado es totalmente estable; incluso con el esmeril operando.Incluye juego de 4 tornillos, tuercas y arandelas de presión y 8 rondanas planas para fijar el esmeril.Lo recomiendo y lo volvería a comprar.

This product was used to support my new Wen Variable Speed Grinder, replacing an earlier Wen Grinder.Very well built, easy to assemble, with supplied nuts/bolts, and range of base mounting configurations. As I use this Grinder primarily for sharpening my Lathe Chisels (Skews, Gouges), I mounted some plywood onto Metal Base amd attached my usual "One Way/Wolverine" Lathe Grinder Jigs.... Pleased with this Purchase, would recommend.

Para un esmeril de 6 pulgadas.La idea era para poder estar moviendo según necesidades. Sin embargo se mueve con la vibración. Así que para que funciones bien tiene que estar atornillado al piso, o estar pisándolo con el pie. Un poco bajo para mi estatura, pero imagino es por seguridad.

Great stand, just took minutes to put together and is cast Iron. I am 5f 9inches and the grinder is just the right height. The large top has several mounting grooves so you can mount almost anything. I installed two anchors to the floor so I can bolt it down then remove bolts to store it in the corner, it has three mounting points on the base, I only use two. But only used it once, that is quite sturdy and does not move when I use it
