A great and effective DIY tool which I love using
One of the best tools I have bought, in a long time! Easy to use once you have your chosen length an put it together.I have since purchased the longer panels which allows me to easily rip a 8x4 sheet.Positives:The track panels appear well made (versus the cost), are pretty straight and packs neatly away in the provided bag. Even with my additionally purchased longer panels. The saw runs well along the track as long as long as you have put it together properly and is a decent tool in its self. It can handle all materials that I have cut using it.A more affordable DIY home use version of the more expensive professional types that are available so in terms of value for money - its right up there in the DIY arena. The clamps are fairly good and do work well. However, see below for the negatives on these.Although I consider the following to be the negatives, they are minor and I still gave it the well deserved 5 stars:The clamps are not all that strong and do bend if you are not careful. Looks like cheaper material has been used to keep costs down and may require a re-weld on the joints at some stage. Not an issue to me as I have a MIG welder. But weak non the less so be wary not to over tighten them. The plastic/ rubber guide strip get chewed up quite quickly if you are not careful. Mine are now all but gone but you just compensate for it when placing the panels on your piece you are cutting. It still works as intended without them. These can be replaced if you are that bothered about it.Putting the tracks together require the Allen Key for the small grub locking screws (4 per strip and 2 strips per panel) and is quite fiddly, but do clamp the pieces together well. I would prefer some sort of quick lock system, but you would pay more for that so am happy with the system it has.All in all, a great HOME USE product. My opinion is; its not a professional piece of kit by any means, but does stand up well against its vastly more expensive Pro-Use competitors.

Works with the Milwaukee track saw.
Initially I bought this to use with a Bosch GKS 190 circular saw and it doesn't fit. You COULD use it but you'd have to cut the track in a line along where the blade goes, which I considered but luckily didn't do. Instead I decided to get the proper tool for the job and treated myself to a Milwaukee M18FTR track saw and it fits the rail perfectly, you just need to run the saw down once to trim the rubber splinter guard to size.Much cheaper than the own brand versions and works just the same, they're all just a long bit of extruded aluminium after all.

ST2800 - G2 track. First Impressions out of the box.
Well packaged. Tracks look well made. Fit together well with the self aligning cams. Tracks look straight. I will check them against a trusted straight edge to be sure. Not tried them yet for accuracy, still waiting for the saw to be delivered. All edges look well machined, no rough edges. Edge strips look in good order and clamps look ok, again not used them yet.The bag is pretty much useless. The rails are a very tight fit. Taking them in and out regularly may damage the edge strip. The Velcro, which runs along the outside of the bag, is not really strong enough to hold the flap closed. Which means, as soon as you lift the bag up with the weighty tracks inside, it splits open. Making the bag with a heavy duty zip would be a much better design. I may take mine to the local seamstress to get one sewn in. Overall, it offers no real protection for the rails. Maybe a padded snowboard bag would be better.

Brilliant
This rail is brilliant. So much better than what I had before. Very stable and the two parts join securely. I can't feel with the plunge saw when I pass over the connection. Feels nice and solid and well built. Fully compatible with my Parkside Performance PPTSA 20-Li C3 plunge saw. Also fully compatible with the Fonson MK1 guide rail square. Tried a few cuts and they were so easy and accurate I started using this kit even for cross cuts as it was faster than bringing the piece to the mitre saw.

Perfect for long board cuts
Have some projects coming up which will require cuts of full length boards & currently I only have 1400 mm of rail. Arrived 24hrs ahead of projected delivery time.Won’t have chance to use it for a couple of months but checked through. All components present; fitted track together & perfectly straight. My MacAllister plunge saw fits perfectly

Circular saw guide rails
It arrived today and it was used immediately as I had some 4 x 8 sheets to cut. Such an improvement and so much easier to cut down plywood sheets. It was a good decision to buy it as it makes the job so much easier and very accurate cuts.

New style rail connection still not great
Purchased the new style track kit.Contained 2 x 1400mm guide rails (Makita compatible).2 x cam-lock style joining bars.2 x rail clamps1 x carry case1 x rail stop1 x allen key with clip on rail adaptorHad high hopes for the track connectors and although I was able to get them aligned pretty easily the connector so just didn't (and don't) hold the guide rails well (tight) enough.Simply attempting to move the joined rails (e.g. before or after a cut) causes flex in the centre and means they need to be aligned/checked again before they can be used again. Not sure if anyone else has experienced the same issue but for me they're not good enough. The idea is great but the execution not so much. The makita rail connection bars hold the Makita rails much firmer but design is more fiddly to use (but are far cheaper). Will contact Evolution support to get their view on this and post an update if I get a reply. With this in mind would probably avoid if you need a 2800mm track.
