Beginner antenna
I bought a cheap CB in order to used on logging roads that have one way in and one way out. Cheap CB and cheap antenna to match. The thing works as one would expect a $22 dollar CB antenna to work. It transmits and it receives. I can't speak to distance because, I have only used my CB a few times, but during those times, I was able to communicate with other vehicles/truckers.I like it.

Plenty of cable
I used this on a road trip on my 1998 Ford Ranger. The magnet was very strong, and the cord was plentiful. I would recommend putting masking tape on the magnet base to avoid scratching the paint. I did not have a problem with the unit as provided, the tape is just an optional layer of protection.

Good cheap CB antenna but needs to be tuned
This is a good choice for a cheap, magnet mount CB antenna. However, although the manufacturer says it's tuned for the CB radio band it was not. SWR was almost 3 to 1. Using my antenna analyzer I was able to trim the antenna and get it to be resonant on Channel 19. I would not have used it unless I was able to retune it.

Terrible quality
Quality control on these is non-existent. The loading coil just plugs into the lower antenna mast and is secured with two center punch dimples that aren't dven spaced correctly. As such, the whole setup was loose and wobbly, and then came apart, all in the couple of days of having it and before mounting it on my car. I knew from other reviews it was likely shoddy but willing to try it, and I will likely tape/solder this back together for the meantime until I can order a better quality unit, but this is just laughably bad. Also, the SWR is horrible, although after it completely came apart, I suppose I'm not surprised. Save your money and buy a better antenna. Not even worth it to try to return mine.

Add more reception/transmission quality to your cb radio with effortless mounting.
Bought to increase the transmission and reception on my handheld cCB radio.Be aware if doing the same thing that a adapter will be required if your CB has a BNC connection for the antenna that is supplied with it. This is going to be very handy while using my CB in my RZR and my Jeep. I'll be able to transfer from one to the other in the blink of an eye.
