Insightful discussions of Major Arcana cards
This book is volume 2 of Wang's trilogy on the Jungian Tarot, and I feel that this book is the best one of the 3. He starts off the book with a brief explanation of some of the theories of Jungian Psychology, and how they relate to the Tarot. He then goes on to discuss the cards of the Major Arcana, and how they relate to some of the psychological principles theorized by Carl Jung. Wang sets forth a few different ideas as to the meanings and interpretations for each of the cards. He will also sometimes speak about certain psychological principles and theories. He does not give a definitive meaning for each of the cards, but encourages the reader to use his/her imagination, in understanding and interpreting each of the cards. The reader is to meditate on each card. Wang "wets your whistle"( a term meaning to give a little, to arouse your interest to seek more), and invites you to dive into the cards, to ascertain their meanings, I only wish that he would have written a book like this relating to the cards of the Minor Arcana.

Should be "New Age Tarrot" not Jungian tarot.
Wang claims the end in vew for the psyche is a state called "No Self, a state Jung calls psychological incest. JUNG says the end in view is a state in which the Ego consciousness assimilates the contents of the unconscious "Shadow, a state that can never be completely realized, as the depths of the psyche is infinite. The ego expands it is not destroyed. In Aion he says "Naturally there can never be no question of total extinction of the ego, for then the focus of consciousness would be destroyed, and the result would be complete unconsciousness." I found this book useful by augmenting it with "Tarot and the Journey of the Hero" and "Tarot of the Spirit." Recently I have discovered a commentary on the Tarot by the Jungian analyst Sallie Nichols, that is excellent. Look for credentials.

Perfect Combination of Books for Psychology and Tarot from a Jungian perspective
Same as my review for Perfect Tarot Divination. All 3 books and a Jungian Deck work well together and help to understand the two methods of helping people to heal emotionally, Jungian Psychology and Tarot Divinatation.

The Jungian Tarot and Its Archetypal Imagery
The Jungian Tarot and Its Archetypal Imagery is an excellent book to use when working with the Jungian Tarot Deck. In fact, I would say that about all three books in the trilogy.

Give deeper meaning to all tarot
I find that the book and cards give a whole new depth to all the tarot decks major arcana. It gives good insight into the archetypes at work in the tarot. This is a traditional pips based deck, so is all about the Major Arcana rather than the whole deck. So if you are looking for a book that covers all the cards, this is not for you. I do find it good for insights into the other decks, but not a deck I would do a reading with.

Love it
This book is written in clear simplistic form which causes no muss in comprehending the information. It relates the information methodically.

Well written
I think people get confused when they come a cross this deck and expect it to be another book on the Tarot. It isn’t. Ok they can be used as such I guess like yea leaves you can make a cup of tea or you can use them as a means of divination. First and foremost they are presented as a tool for therapy. If you are looking for a purely how to book this isn’t it. But in saying that if you want to take a different vantage point on the subject this series works for that.
