Kaytee Small Animal Clear Water Bottle, 16 Ounces Per Bottle (2 Pack)

Unfortunately these bottles weren’t for me, well for my guinea pigs lol. They are pretty awesome for the fact that they don’t leak. I’m not sure if this works for everyone but a trick that I learned is that you have to fill the bottle all the way up to the very top, tighten the lid then turn it down and let it the air bubble and create a vacuum seal. This works for the majority of bottles I’ve used in the past. However my guinea pigs don’t get enough water with how the inside ball doesn’t roll back as easily. They have to push their tongues a litter harder to release the water. And me testing it out with my finger there’s just not enough water coming out. It took two days for the water bottle to look like they were even using it. So I didn’t want to dehydrate them.

Not sure if I misunderstood the science part of this experiment, but gravity seems to win. The bottle is straight and full it is heavy. There is no divot or support other than the spring. Every other bottle I have used in the past has had both. Good thing it came as a two pack, I used the second spring to support the bottom so it doesn’t slip out and drain as it stands worthless on the floor of the cage. Size is nice but super flimsy plastic.

I purchased these bottles for my ferrets. I had them on stand by because as we all know, bottles tend to give out over time. I finally opened the first one and filled it up. When i went to put it in the cage, I noticed that the metal ouece did not have a curve in it. I used the bottle anyway. The next morning, the straight metal piece i guess could not hold uo against the pressure of the cage wire and had broken. So, today I had to put the other one in and I hope it hold up long enough for me to get another bottle. So, the picture shows a curved metal pueve, but this isn't what you receive. I have had ferrets my whole life and I have never had a water bottle this flimsy which is weird because I have always used this brand.

I bought two of the double packs. Usually use the Lixit brand, but these were cheaper. So far I'm completely happy. I always fill the bottles full which seems to prevent leaking and have not noticed any. I'm using these for two dwarf rabbits, a dutch rabbit and a guinea pig. So far so good!

They are big. Too big for hamsters, mice, gliders etc.

These are well made. It’s easy to see if tbey need filled since they are clear and they have the little floating duck.

I bought the double pack bc I have such a large cage for our guinea pig. Only one bottle works. The other one leaks and empties into the cage within about 10 min. Really disappointed.

Broke and my rabbits are small did not even last 3 weeks
