Tortilla making is SO much easier with a press!
No complaints. Sturdy item, works great! I bought this to make my own low carb tortillas, using a recipe from gnom-gnom.com. I got tired of trying to roll them out by hand and purchased this to speed up the process. WHY didn't I do this sooner?! Fast, easy, and a huge time saver.

Sturdy, made quick work of cranking out tortillas
This is a solid, heavy, but sturdy press. My dough was stiff, made out of coconut flour and mozzarella (Keto recipe), It needed more liquid, but the press had no difficulty mashing it into nice circles. I never felt like it would break. Fold a piece of parchment in half so that it is large enough to cover the plate of the press, put your dough ball inside, press, flip and press again. Perfect. Beats rolling out dough all to heck. The press does have a silver coating, so I wouldn't use it without the parchment to separate it from the food.

Would definitely recommend it.
This is a heavy duty press and it works very well! I only had one concern and that was the hinge that connected the arm to press. The connection in the photo is different than the one that it comes with, which is a pin. Other than that, it is an authentic press from Mexico though and I love it.

Excellent product, great price
This press has a smooth, round, even dough distribution that turns out beautiful tortillas. Because all tortilla presses have characteristcs unique to the iron casting, product design and general manufacture, one has learn the "quirks" of the press and adjust one's technique to get the best or desired results. For best results, after pressing gently but firmly once, then turning the tortilla 90°-- with the thicker edge now closer to the handle hinge-- and then pressing a second time creates a flatter, rounder tortilla. The dough ball, of course, needs to be placed between two plastic sheets, gently flattened with the heel of the palm and then pressed as previously described; the top plastic sheet is carefully peeled off, the bottom sheet holding the tortilla is carefully inverted over one's opposite open palm with fingers splayed and the bottom plastic sheet is then gently peeled from the tortilla, then the tortilla is placed on the hot griddle. While, thus far, this is an excellent press, my reason for not giving it five stars is because of the awkwardness and sharpness of the pin that holds the handle hinge pin in place.

Broken, dangerous & harmful to health
I was very hopeful about this tortilla press.Boy was I mistaken! For starters: this arrived damaged. The packaging they used offered zero protection for something that will no doubt be tossed around in transit.I am still cleaning the bits of nikel (or whatever heavy metal that is coating the press) from my kitchen where I initially opened the package. Also, I am nursing a large cut on my finger from a piece of portruding sharp metal on the press's handle. The outer coating continues to fall off with no end in sight.I would not advise for anyone to buy this dangerous product.

High quality and tough
Easy to use if u put Saran Wrap on it so no masa dough wont stick. The only negative is that some paint chips would come off at the bottom where the pressure of the press meets. I wrapped Saran Wrap on that as well and it helped a little. Great product!! Very tough and high quality

Excellent Tortilla Press
This tortilla press is very sturdy and works as expected. I had purchased a different tortilla press that broke (the handle snapped) after about 3 batches of tortillas. No issues at all with this one - I couldn't be happier, and my tortillas come out great every time!

Defective and sold a possible return
This product was poorly packaged, and arrived damaged with the silver paint chipping off in many locations. My initial reaction was that it was probably returned based on the state of the box. The press itself is warped producing tortillas that get steadily thicker towards the far side of the press (as expected) and then suddenly much thinner than even the tortilla closest to the hinge. I chose not to return this product so the next person they shipped it to would not be so unfortunate.
