wow, they can't possibly be serious? Can they? This is HUGE.
I can't even tell you how well it does or doesn't work as it made it out of the box for a whole 5 minutes -- rivaling the size of a toilet paper roll is not my idea of an upgrade on a beautiful new quartz top kitchen island.I gave it two stars for what it is supposed to do, and the apparent quality, but that's kind of a push given its size.Pros - the finish is nice enough, it's not as deep as other solutions out there and believe me I looked at all of them that didn't cut the mustard due either to their size (and less than 20 amps) or some funky china brand label on them.Cons - hmm, I can't get over the size. In the photo you see it next to the holes for my soap dispenser and massive (not yet installed) faucet which towers a good 20" -- how is today's technology in this category not up to par? I'll wait, thank you.Given limited solutions, I decided to go with a side mount pop out outlet, also 20 amps, also two plugs and oh so pretty; A Legrand Item ARPTR201GW2 20amp pop out outlet at a fraction of the cost. Someday if a better product for countertop should arrive that is 20 amps and an appropriate size, I'll patch the hole in the very replaceable island cabinet and dare to drill a hole into a beautiful slab.

Good add to the kitchen
The media could not be loaded. We purchased 2 different pop-up outlets in order to compare the sizes as they both looked larger then i would like. This one at 4" wide [trim plate] was the smallest of the 2 and although the other was 4.75" wide looked HUGE compared to this one. The outlets work well, no extra wireless charging or usb power outputs like some of the other much larger ones, just basic outlets but they do what is needed. While the outlets are not popped up they do not look too large and blend in well with our solid white quartz countertops.

Excellent Plug
The media could not be loaded. This product has made our island much more useful. Installation was straightforward and didn’t take too long, if you understand basic home wiring. I opted for the surface mount instead of flush mount, which meant I only needed to drill a 3.5” hole. Flush mount would have required a 4” countersink hole in addition. The opening and closing action is smooth and feels like it will last a long time. I have not tested the water resistance of the plug but it is rated for spills. There is a nice gasket around the base of plug to keep out spills.

Good quality product, just don't order Nickel in Texas
Good quality build and works well. I had it installed in a new home when the quartz countertops were installed; the hole was pre-cut prior to installation, and it went in and fastened up in seconds. We haven't moved in to the house yet, so I can't speak to longevity or daily function just yet.One thing though; If you are in Texas where the order might be fulfilled by the Katy warehouse, don't order the "Polished Nickel" color, as you will receive black; I tried 3 times and got black every time, even after talking to Amazon on the phone! I then ordered brushed aluminum instead and got what I ordered.

Saves on re-wire
So this is a great option if you have a plug in under you cabinets, and want to extend them to the top. The only caution flag is to check the clearance from the counter top if you have drawers... it does extend down below about 3 inches and may be in the way. If so .. just shorten the height of the back of the drawer to fit, and it will all work good.

Item not labeled correctly
The seller has this item mis-labeled. I wanted a flush mount polished nickel pop up 15 amp. When I first ordered, I selected ‘flush mount’ style but item description came up as ‘surface mount’ and when I received the item I got the surface mount! So I ordered again and selected ‘surface mount’ so the item description said ‘flush mount.’ Once again I got the ‘surface mount’! Will have to return all, not sure there is anyway to get a flush mount nickel! And the flush mount and surface mount do look different, and are priced different! Very disappointed. Hopefully this is just a problem with the polished nickel 15amp outlet!

Worth It
When we removed our bar top we were concerned that we would lose two main outlets. This is a very good product, and it was our best option as a solution to install outlets on countertops. Our countertop manufacturer was unable to do the countersunk option which is what we would have preferred, but the ones we got that sit on top are fine. They're NOT easy to install if you have to hook up more than one chain of electrical wires. It is somewhat difficult because of the limited space inside the attached electrical box. Because of the limited amount of space, you have to do some advanced wiring skills that only come from experience or an expert's knowledge. Also, the width of the product is about the same size as our knee wall width, so some drywall and studs had to be modified while adding an access panel inside the base cabinet. Overall, we love them, but the install was not as simple as a regular wall outlet.

Works as Advertised
Did not install this product, but only because my electrician recommended that I get the 20 amp version. The 20 amp is not offered on Amazon. I did buy (elsewhere) a 20 amp and installed in my kitchen island. It's great! Works well. Outlet slots are a little tight because of the water repelling feature, but easy to get used to. The countertop installer had no trouble cutting the hole and counterboring so it would be flush. Highly recommend you check with your countertop installer to be sure they have experience with the flush version. If you aren't worried about amperage (I think 20 will be more than I'll ever need) buy it.

These are 15 amp. Most Kitchens need 20
They were ok. Had to return as we needed 20 amps for the kitchen and these were 15 amp. Also, the white was too grey for our very white quartz countertop
