Why spend 291.00 dollars for a switch just because it says "delta" on it. If you have a unisaw and your switchboard doesn't work...here's your solution! Works like a champ!

I installed this myself and found a few things I thought I might share. First, the threads for the "cable gland", which is the strain relief for your wires as they come into the box are metric M20x1.5. If you want the wire strain reliefs to fit perfectly just buy a couple of those so you have them when you need them. A M20x1.5 cable gland is available on Amazon and will fit up to a 12/3 SJOOW wire. They are similar in size to USA half inch thread strain relief but not the same.Also, there is a sticker inside the box lid that shows the wiring diagram, no other paperwork in box. Mine came kinda scratched up but legible. The lid has plastic screws that seem a bit delicate.... definitely be careful to not strip the threads. If you don't know this already, a good trick to not strip threads is to put the screwdriver on and go backwards, counterclockwise, until it clicks, then twist clockwise gently with just your fingertips on the screwdriver. No powertools on this.The box itself is not super tough, I don't know how good it would do in an industrial or school setting but seems plenty fine for my use. If I clobber it with a piece of wood I think I might smash it. A metal box would be stronger but more money of course.The unit itself is made in Taiwan by Shern Dian Electric. It looks to be well made I would buy another if I needed it.

After a failure of a 30 year old motor controller needed a replacement quick. Visually this unit was a very close match and would not require much modification to install. Was a little uncertain as it was obviously an import but it was well built. Only draw back was the threaded wire connections. They appeared to be correct but were a little off and metal fittings would not screw in but plastic strain reliefs would as they were flexible enough to conform to the threads. Overall a good purchase, wired and installed in under 45 minutes and works as intended. Connections were almost identical to the original and all wires were used as is with no lengthening or shortening.

Replaced switch on my Unisaw with this particular switch, as the OEM replacement was insanely expensive. This switch was a welcome alternative both in terms of value and ease of install. Like others have mentioned, be sure to pick up 6-12mm cable glands to ensure a solid fit for the power and motor cables. I used the existing Unisaw switch bracket for the mount by drilling a new hole to match into it that was compatible to a good location inside switch for the respective mounting screw. This meant that I had to drill a hole into back of switch wall as well. Some have complained about the off button being too small. Search for DIY plans in building your own paddle assist to compensate if this is an issue for you. For example, go to lumberjocks dot com and search for project 318193.

This is a nice compact enclosure and is being used for a 2 hp jointer single phase application. Have one on a 2hp shaper and works very well for that application as well. Both have remote start/stop buttons added.

When I received this, it appeared to have been tampered with. Screws and small parts were floating around inside and plastic pieces were broken. I pieced it together and installed it anyway. It works great, but be sure to inspect it when you receive the unit.
