Saint Catherine of Siena: The Story of the Girl Who Saw Saints in the Sky (Stories of the Saints for Young People Ages 10 to 100)

It's two bad that there are two bad reviews on this book because it's awesome! Yes, this book is meant for children, you can tell by the cover. And because it is geared towards children, there isn't going to be tons of thoughts, words and info like the other reader was saying was lacking.It tells the saints story just like that--a story. Not too much boring facts about the history of the city or the current politics of the time like so many other saints stories tend to do. I read those stories to my kids and there eyes would glaze over.But this one is easy to read, easy to follow and very entertaining. I read this book to my two daughters (the book belongs to my 9 nine year old but the 13 year old has been listening too) every night and tonight my kids told me, 'I like this book!" They have never said that about a saint story before, so this book gets five stars from me. I wish I could give more.

Buy this for a child but read it first. It is wonderful!! I have read a lengthy biography of St. Catherine and believe Mary Fabyan Windeatt captured the best of this saint to present to children. After reading this one I bought all of this writer's saint books so I can read them prior to giving them to children on their birthdays.

St. Catherine is still on earth with her incorrupt body on display outside Assisi. This book explained more about her lifeand beliefs than I was expecting. I just gave it to a third grader for a report and they love it.

Asesome must read , she loved the Lord and was a good example and can still be to us adults and children when we read this

Very good story. Easy to read and understand. Great true story of St. Catherine of Siena. Children and adults will enjoy it.
