These LED lights are pretty cheap, and you can definitely tell they’re made in China, but honestly, they do the job! They add a nice glow behind the TV, making movie nights more fun. Maybe one day we’ll upgrade to something higher-end, but for now, this works perfectly. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly upgrade to your TV setup, I’d recommend these!

Originally, the lights would only show white and the remote would just turn the owhite lights off or on.After I downloaded the app all colors and options worked even using just the remote. The light strip can be cut to length. You make the cut in the middle of the four copper strips anywhere on the light ribbon. The copper strips are about every 4 LEDs the full length of the light ribbon.

For the price, I really shouldn't complain. However, the colors work well and are vibrant when it is set up to rotate colors. If you try to use the remote to pick and hold a color (in my case Red), you get orange. If you pick dark green, you get a light green, can't get blue; if you pick white, you get a lime-ish color, and so on. All of the colors show up in rotation when you set it on auto, but you cannot pick the exact color you want via the remote. Also, unlike your TV remote this has to be aimed right at the "eye" on the cord for the remote to work, If anything is blocking the eye or if it is not in the direct line-of-sight of the remote, the signal will not work. Therefore, you need to be careful not to hide the eye behind the TV or other place you are using the lights. Lastly, if you unplug them or lose power to the electrical socket, when power returns these come right back on (even if you shut them off prior). In my case, I have a outlet that is connected to a wall switch. If I turn the LED strip off using the remote, then turn of the light switch on my wall, when I turn my light switch back on, the LED strip comes on automatically and start rotating colors. Pity!

These lights are fun! They are bright, easy to install and easy to use. My eleven year old son installed these himself and figured out how to use them himself. They are plenty long enough to go around my son's 54 inch TV. There is no need for batteries as it plugs into the wall. The remote gives plenty of options for color display and changing the lights. Overall, the lights are a great value and inexpensive to boot!
