Yellow Weaves 40 mm High Density Artificial Grass Carpet Mat for Balcony, Lawn, Door (6.5 X 12 Feet)

Well before placing this order I went to my local retailer shops, where I found 3 kinds of grass mats,one was being sold at 100 rs sq feet, which had a more soft feel to it, more shinier and long sized strands than this one (But somewhere it looked too good to be real grass and more height too that could get in the way of the door).There was another one which had much smaller strands than this and nowhere looked like real grass (only felt like when touched). that was sold at 60 rs per sq feet.and then there was the third one which is pretty common everywhere, but that's nowhere near a real grass, more like just green mat.This one was indeed a better choice, as you can see from the Pics, it wasn't available near my place or I would have got it instead of waiting 11 days for it to reach me, from Panipat to Patna.Durability wiseWell, the strands will fall off eventually and few of them did already, not that much to worry about. But what makes a product life longer is how you treat it. You can see in the Pic that my door is pressing the grass mat. I was worried about it before ordering, I knew it could get in the way, but the grasses are holding to the mat when the door is being closed and opened (Just tested few times since it came). I will have to find a better way to keep the space clear between them otherwise strands might come off earlier. (9 months later it's the same, the strands are tightly secured, and are still there)There are pores/holes in the mat below, which should drain the water off the grass mat, but I have no clue about the mat beneath the grass, it doesn't look like it can survive water for long. I would be a bit cautious with water on it, it might get absorbed rather than slip past it. although I haven't checked this, I am just trying to avoid water for the moment. (You can dust it by taking it outside and clean the regular way, like you would do with a mat)Apart from this, I really enjoyed putting my feet on it, felt like I was on real grass although there is that rubber smell from the mat which should go away in a few days.Update after 2 weeks,The strands at the edges are the most delicates, make sure that the edges reach the end of the walls and are properly secured.The smell is still there, albeit a bit less but it's noticeable. (took a month to completely fade)I used a vacuum cleaner at low pressure for cleaning it just once (avoiding and being extra cautious at the edges) You won't see much dust on it, cause the material is slippery and dust doesn't really stick above.About the material of the plastic (Polypropylene) grass mat.Polypropylene has a few disadvantages1. is susceptible to UV degradation. (You might want to roll that mat in extreme summer when you aren't going to sit anyways)2. is known to be difficult to paint as it has poor bonding properties. (The paint might come out sooner or later)3. is highly flammable. (avoid smoking or be extra careful)But it has tons of advantages as well that makes it perfect for grass1.High flexural strength, (My doors had zero effect on the strands which is pretty cool)2.Slippery surface. (Doesn't let Dust sit on it)3.is very resistant to absorbing moisture. (No absorption of water while cleaning, although it's the rubber mat that will smell pretty bad if kept wet)4.Has good impact strength. (You can let your kids jump all that they want)5.Good electrical insulator. (Safe from electric shock, but don't get too experimental)I am sure it will have a good life span before I throw it out.

it's looking awesome. I've ordered the 6.5'/2' for my window balcony. it's bigger than that space. So, I've to cut it to adjust there. and after this I'm just looking at my window with WOW!!! and I'm using the cut piece as a doormat.

For high rise apartment dwellers like my family, is important to maintain connection with nature. I had a great collection of plants and pots but my balcony still was a concrete-floored balcony which can never have a grass cover. I had almost made my peace with it but then discovered this product at my friends home. As the fate would have it, I could not find time to buy it from the local shop for nearly 6 months. Then one day i thought enough is enough, opened my Amazon app and searched "green grass carpet". Frankly, i dont think such a bulky product can come for home delivery but then Amazon do sell fridge, waving machines, TV which is as heavy.I searched through results and selected the one with "best selling" tag. Although I made a mistake in measurement and now there is 1 feet space uncovered by this amazing carpet, but it has made my balcony a little heaven on the 12th floor.My kid loves this and keeps saying "let's sit on green grass". I really feel bad for him that he doesn't know what fun it is to live among trees and grass filled gardens. But this green grass carpets has reduced that gap in understanding. I just love the product and planning to get for my parents too.

Well, I picked up 2 pieces of 6*3 Feet , it said High Density and I trusted them but I must say ram a lil too disappointed with the thickness aspect, as for the quality , its been only 5 days. so too early to judge, and The above image is of the 5 th day in the open with very lil footfall at my home. Yet the Grass for some reason looks too Flat, hence disappointed , will write back in a couple of months to give you guys a heads up on the status then as my second fee. I wrote to the Yellowfins Weaves office and also asked to correct the information put against the ad. and be more specific about the thickness, in MM. only, and as for the other fellas, online have it specified in MM. except these guys, Thats totally unfair as the term 'HIGH DENSITY ' is actually very vague and misleading. so please do re-consider a change and fix and be fair and transparent.

I had ordered it last year and loved it and it did look same in all weather after one year of complete use. So i decided to oder one more grass carpet. But it came out awful. It's not edge to edge grassing. There's no grass at the edge. Also quality of the grass looks cheap and looks very shiny plastic from distance. Also cutting is not accurate and its very uneven.

Looks same as real grass, neither dark nor light green, soft feel for the legs, shiny especially when you have some light touches the top of the grass, can be cut easily with a scissor as per your requirement (but do make it straight), having holes on the bottom to drain water if any and easy to clean are the positives of this grass mat.However, unlike the displayed image, the height of the grass strand is not much. Also, the density / thickness of the grass stand is not up to the mark, may be to cut down the production cost. So, it is really light in weight that makes the price seems to be higher. I'm disappointed on that part and the seller has to remove the word "High Density" which is highly misleading.Other than that, it gives good looking and grass like appearance. Do measure your required size properly before you place the order. Have a look at the attached images and do let me know if you found this review Helpful. Thanks.

Carpet look is excellent. I had purchased it to put outside the door. But now preferred to keep it in hall.However, one major problem is that after use, it leaves plastic particles in huge quantity on floor, which needed to be cleaned everyday.
