Brilliant!
This is one of the best things I have purchased for my very expensive hobby of bedroom (dining room, to be precise) producing. My wife has commented that it is an early midlife crisis; I don't drive and have zero interest in cars, and my whole set up is a surrogate for buying a Porsche. The Clarity M is built like a tank, with a metal enclosure, plenty of input options, and a nice, crisp display. TC Electronic have put a lot of effort in the firmware, and gives you a lot to work with: frequency analisys, loudness metering, stereo merering, etc. Which can all be customised in some way to fit your workflow the best. I have it currently plugged in over USB, and use their plugin to integrate it into my DAW, but I also have it connected to my mixer, which sadly doesn't have AES or S/PIDF outputs, and which my sound interface doesn't either, so I'm currently using a cheap ADC - I'm pretty sure I can do this less jankily, but it works well and it isn't difficult to switch between inputs. Though the included stand is completely acceptable, I just don't have the table space for it, and I don't like the mounting option (ram mount?) as this would become increasingly expensive and tricky to source. I have instead an inexpensive tablet stand, which just about carries the Clarity M's weight (because of the metal enclosure, the Clarity M is heavy). All this said, this device is a luxury item: you could get equal - maybe even better - results with software: buy a cheap monitor and use it solely to show SPAN or your analyser of choice. But, if you have hardware synths, and don't always want or need to switch on your computer, this is fantastic.

Excellent bit of kit
What a great purchase. The neatest way to install this is by using an optical cable for audio input, then combining the power, USB and optical in a length of cable sock, cable-tied to the stand. Otherwise the three cables that have to be plugged in to get the best out of this device are a bit of a mess. That said, the three separate cables and D-sub connector are actually pretty much the perfect design choices for maximum flexibility (including 12V power). With that out of the way, I have to say that for the price this is brilliant. Having a permanent meter on your desk or rigged above your main displays means no more floating plugin window taking up space, or that you keep accidentally closing. The plugin works perfectly for DAW integration, and the device is perfect for mixing live streams without it.My only gripes with this are minor. Firstly, the power adapter cable is only 1.5m. This is fine if it's sitting on your desk but if you want to get creative with where you place it, this is limiting. Also, the DC connector is centre negative! Why, when ~90% of other 12V devices out there use a centre positive connector? Also, a locking connector would have been nice. The other is the slightly counter-intuitive menu navigation. Two soft-buttons are used to navigate between menu list items, while the central dial is used to change values. I think this would be quicker to operate if the central dial could be used to scroll through menu list items, and one soft-button was assigned to 'select'. Once an item is selected, the dial would then scroll through values.Having to press the 'down' button many, many times to scroll through the menu is a drag, but once you have things set up, it's unlikely you'll be using the menu often anyway.Overall, very, very good.

At a glance metering info, that monitors essential audio parameters.Solid build, good range of options & functionality, more than covers its expense

Love it
What a game-changer. Using this with Ableton and the USB plugin. I can see my TP and LUFS levels without using a span and losing the flow. Also, the Vscope is really useful as is the correlation and Balanc-o-meter all really useful tools.

Another excellent TC electronics product.
Excellent build qualityPlug and Play (into a Mac m1pro) - plug in for daws works with no issues.Samples at up to 96KhzLots of useful information.Like the TC 229 plug in hardware - excellent value for the money - Much better built than the TC2290 too - metal verses plastic.Excellent.
