This Humidifier is as Perfect as it Gets
The design of this appliance is deceptively simple. It is the easiest to use of any type of humidifier I've ever tried. It is easy to fill the large water holding area, and it has more than one speed as well as a way to see how much water is left inside. The carrying handle makes it easy to bring to my sink. It is well built for long use and easy to clean. Also it works very well. My throat and mouth are no longer dry every morning.

So quiet when in use and is perfect for our room
We loved this humidifier so much that we bought another. We bought our first one last year. It worked so well in our bedroom that we decided to buy one for our living room. I like our bedroom quiet when I sleep and the PUR Honeywell is very quiet. Love the light in the front also. You xan see how much water is left. The light also can be either lowered or turned off. It is not only easy to fill but it is a breeze to clean. The capacity is perfect. We can leave the humidifier on all day without refilling. I have to say, this is the best humidifier we have bought. Thank you, Honeywell.

LOVED it.....until WHITE DUST ✨
I'm so sad to say this wonderful little machine didn't work out for me! I knocked off a star because of the white dust/air quality issues with this type of unit. When I did my initial research, it was obvious that evaporative humidifiers are the way to go for safer air quality and also because it's impossible for them to over-saturate the air with humidity. However, they are bigger, louder, and you have to change the filters. ***UPDATE: I ended up with a STEAM humidifier, and I HIGHLY recommend going with steam! You don't have to constantly change filters, AND, the heat kills any bacteria in the water, so you don't have to constantly worry about keeping the machine pristine clean, although, you still want to do a vinegar rinse weekly to keep minerals from building up (I use reverse osmosis or water filtered through a ZERO water filter). This is the humifier I ended up with and love: https://www.amazon.com/Steamfast-SF-920-Humidifier-Filter-Free-Aromatherapy/dp/B07BZ9SSPZ/ref=sr_1_15?dchild=1&keywords=steam+humidifier&qid=1615763735&s=home-garden&sr=1-15 I decided to give ultrasonic a chance first, and I just loved this one so much! It doesn't look *medicinal," it's quiet (other than a brook/water sound), and it's super easy to use and clean. Call me weird, but I even enjoyed the task of filling it up every day! Ha! It was also very easy to remove the water tight cap. EFFECTIVE? Definitely! It raised my humidity maybe 10-15% taking it from ~35 to ~50 (and not I've learned 50% is probably "too much" humidity). I had to run it on high to get the levels up and then run it as speeds of 2 or 3 to maintain it. TIPS WHITE DUST. Use distilled water. These types of machines will turn minerals in water into *white dust* which will coat your furniture. I used reverse osmosis water, so I was not expected to see this dusting. My water must have more minerals than I realized, as within a week of using the machine, suddenly, I noticed a light white coating all over my furniture. The day before, I had run the machine on high, and on speed 3 that evening. I have read that this white dust can be harmful to breathe. I don't want to take chances with it. I could get a ZERO water filter, but I decided to try an evaporative humidifier instead. CLEANING. It's super easy. And with these units, SUPER important, as everything in the water tank turns into tiny particles and goes out into your air. Just move the entire unit to a bathroom or kitchen counter. Measure out 2 cups of distilled vinegar, and let it soak in the unit for 20 minutes (instructions included). THOROUGHLY rinse--especially before using bleach, as the two mixed together are TOXIC. I recommend micro fiber towels for drying the unit. Instead of using bleach, my plan was to use Seventh Generation Disinfectant Spray. LEAKS. I had a clear, thin cutting board (from VitaMix) under mine, and I'm glad I did, as the first day I used it, there was some water build up around the machine. However, since I've since learned humidifiers can leak *all* of their content, a bucket might not be a bad idea! This cute one is wide and shallow->Behrens C17GS 4-1/4-Gallon Galvanized Steel Pail. ***UPDATE: Your cell phone will not work if in the same room as the steel pail! I ended up buying a plastic pail. I'll be using it for my new Honeywall Humidifier that's coming: Honeywell Top Fill Digital Humidistat Tower Humidifier, Black CONDENSATION. If you have the speed up on 3 or 4, I'd have a fan on low. This worked for me in keeping the condensation build up from happening around the machine. You'll also want a hygrometer of course to keep track of the humidity levels. Anything above 60% can cause problems. Dr. Mercola has an article recommending not going over 45% in order to reduce the risk of mold and fungus build up. Overall, unless you're using distilled water and are diligently cleaning the unit every week, I recommend an evaporative humidifier instead. I hope this helps! Figuring out humidifiers can be a little overwhelming when you're new to it!

Nice mist, light excellent to check water level
Really sharp appearance. Mist is lovely. Easy to clean. Operates nicely, easy assembly. Good controls of moisture level. I love the appearance of the light to check water level. Nice you can turn it on and off.

THIS HUMIDIFIER PRODUCES A FINE WHITE DUST ON ALL SURFACES AND IN AIR
(I have this in white and black - they both operate the same way.). The humidifier does work. It is fairly quiet. You can turn the light off as needed. The level of humidity can be adjusted. There is no humidity gage on it so it is best to use an external one. (We have one on our weather 'station'). DOWNSIDES: 1. This cannot be set up on the floor. The flooring around it will become WET! 2. It spews white dust everywhere. All surfaces are covered in white dust - my refrigerator, dishwasher, cabinets, furniture. The manufacturer says to use distilled water - I would be spending way too much on water. The reason for the white dust is that the humidifier is lifting the minerals, etc. out of the water into the air. Our air purifier goes crazy every time we turn the humidifier on. If it is going onto my furniture, what is it doing to my lungs? I cannot continue to clean up and breath the bad air after this devise on a daily basis.

Great Humidifier!
Bought this based on review by Consumer Reports. First time I turned it on it started to make a VERY ANNOYING dripping water noise, which is not what I expected from an ultrasonic humidifier. Far from silent. Re-read the reviews here and saw similar issues. But the weird thing is that in a few hours the dripping water noise went away and after a week it is still silent. Slight gurgling sound as water is used but that is normal. Pumps out plenty of mist and the footprint is small because of the cylindrical shape. Definitely recommend!

Perfect humidifier until the fan started making horrible noise
Perfect humidifier until it wasn’t. I basically go through a humidifier a year. Bought the Kaz ones. They nebulizer easily get dirty and damaged even when doing frequent but not weekly cleaning. Just mot enough time for that. Went to consumer reports and decided to go with this one. Super super happy on the size and performance. And it was very quiet and I have this thing on my night table. Water lasts a day. It has a light. It’s great. Then, the fan noise started about 3 months in. After giving it a good slap it seemed to fix it so I never thought of returning it. It’s the best humidifier I’ve had. Then I started using it as the winter is approaching us and the fan noise is super loud and clearly something isn’t right with the motor. It sounds like a grinding noise or something is rubbing up against something. It’s still under warranty so going to see if they can get me a replacement. But I’ve had other models suffer the same fate. And this is one of those things that have nothing to with the water I use (I have soft water) or how often I clean it. I’d give it 5 stars but because of this knocking down to 3. If they don’t honor the warranty, it will be a 1.

I've had this unit for a few days now and it works very well. I really like the very long AC cord (over 6 feet) which makes it easy to move around without having to use an extension cord. The reason for the 4-star review is simply that, like all ultrasonic humidifiers, it leaves that dreaded "white dust" unlike evaporative humidifiers. I know distilled water eliminates this but I can't be running to the store every few days to buy the stuff. As a result, I only use this at the lowest settings and only on the coldest, driest days here in Toronto. UPDATE: Rating changed from 4 star to 1 star as the unit died after only 2 weeks. Tried everything to get it running again and nothing worked. Thankfully, I'm still within Amazon's return window of 30 days so I am returning it.

In your information of the humidifier no where did it say it was ultra sonic. We had one that was and it left white dust all over. So that is why we brought this one.
