BlackburnOutpost Elite Frame Bike Bag (Grey, Medium-Short)

This is a very high quality bag. The medium large fits my 2021 topstone 54cm perfectly.

I like the design and features of this bag. It holds securely, has good access and organization and is reasonably water resistant. I've seen other reviews saying it's not waterproof, but i have yet to have an issue with it. I don't tend to ride in heavy rain nor through deep water though, so ymmv.

The bag is very well made, it fits my bike frame almost like a custom made.The only flaw is that none of the Velcro straps are long enough to secure the bottom of the bag to my down tube, I had to get additional longer straps.Availability of a water bladder in triangular shape, fitted to the bottom section would be an excellent option.

I purchased the medium-tall size frame bag to use on my gravel bike and it fits perfectly. (‘19 Salsa Journeyman 54 cm) Out of curiosity, I tried it on my road bike (54cm ‘21 Trek Domane SL6) to see if it would fit. It fills the frame perfectly however it would require a few longer Velcro straps to fit around the wider down tube that houses the repair kit. (Last photo for reference)The only modification I had to make was to trim about 3/4 of an inch off the 2 tabs used to brace the zipper. They stuck out and poked my legs as I rode on my trainer to test it out. Other than that, as shown in the photograph, it is narrow and will not get in the way of your legs if you pack wisely.The quality feels very nice but I can’t speak to its long term durability yet. Looking forward to using it on adventures!Update: I used this on 150 mile bike packing trip. The functionality was great as well as the durability. The only thing that I noticed is that it does leave light scratches on your frame. Hoping they can just buff out. Using a clear adhesive over the frame would likely avoid this from happening.

This is a super nice bag. It fits my bike beautifully. It holds my stuff, including a change of clothes, a lock, a flat repair kit with tube and still has room for more. I have been using it around 4 months nearly every day for commutes and rides. I almost can't imagine not having it now. It would absolutely be 5 stars, and will be if I discover my particular bag was flawed. I put my phone in the left outer zippered pocket. It is labeled as waterproof on the feature listings on the manufacturer website. It rained for a few hours. When I went to get my phone, I found that the pocket had completely filled with water. The main compartment was bone dry. So it was just that outer left pocket which was completely full of water. Huh, is this a feature? An integrated water catchment system? That wasn't listed. It is possible that my bag has an imperceptible flaw in that pocket, so I am going to attempt addressing this with the company. I'll update after the resolution or lack of one. Bottom line, the bag is amazing and I still wouldn't trade it for anything but I'm sad and disappointed that the pocket leaks. At least on mine.Update: I spoke with Blackburn and they offered to send me a replacement with no hassle. 5 stars for a great product and great customer support. I'm definitely buying more from this company going forward.

I have the 5/16ths ABUS chain (6ft long 6 lbs) and the ABUS 55 Lock (2 lbs) and all the tools shown in photo, plus my Steel Will folder EDC and wallet (tire repair kit in plastic container) and this bag has more room. The Leatherman is a heavy thing as well. Bag is rigid enough, with interior shelf that is held in by hook and loop, which could be a larger, like a camera bag (maybe adjustable and commercial grade hook and loop). I have a Kona HonzoDL in XL frame, 29er wheels. I was concerned that the top loops of this bag would hinder the cables, they didn't. I was concerned about the circumference of the lower pipe being too large for the hook and loop straps, they fit perfect. I added zip ties as a theft deterent when I do into a shop. The bag has slots that are empty and can be used for additional hook and loop straps; I removed the rear set of 2, didn't need them. Key's fit nicely in side pocket.

I really wanted to like this bag. As others have said, it does not appear to be completely waterproof. In addition, after a little over a year's use, the bonding of the upper loop attachment layer has failed. I would expect the attachment area near the straps would fail first, which would be a much better situation (I could just add more straps). The current situation is much more catastrophic. I will need to install some plastic backing board, and secure it with rivets or just get a new bag altogether.Update (5/28/2022) - I contacted Blackburn and they are sending me a replacement bag with no hastle. They were quick to respond. Very pleased with the support.

First off, this bag was incredible for the first two weeks of my bikepacking trip. I loaded up the frame bag with bike tools, a hydration pack some spare gloves and a hat. The bag certainy was full but it had enough room to comfortably hold everything.. Unfortunately the main zipper does not have any stretch and it gave out while I was in Saint John New Brunswick right before I caught the ferry to Nova Scotia... Bummer. The rest of the bag is brilliant but the zippers truly are the Achilles heal of the design.

Davvero sorpreso di quanto acquistato , la borsa si rivela non ingombrante ma spaziosa , al punto che riesco a farci pure una piccola spesa , nonostante sia con la Bici da corsa ,per ora posso consigliarla vivamente a chi come me quotidianamente usa la bici da corsa per i suoi spostamenti .assegno quattro stelle per vederla all'opera in condizioni di freddo e bagnato .

I use this for my daily commute of 20-25km one way.It works fine as a regular frame bag. I do like the volume that the bag provides, as well as the overall design and function.It’s pretty sturdy yet light weight.But it is NOT waterproof or not even quite water resilient; it gets soaked in decent rainfall especially the bottom part of the compartments. (All the zippers fully closed.)Topeak's frame bags do much better for waterproof purposes.毎日の通勤に使用してますが、かなり簡単に浸水します。「ただのフレームバッグ」として割り切るなら問題なく、容量の大きさは勝手がいいです。

Ich hab die Größe ML gekauft und die Tasche passt wie angegossen in den Rahmen meines 51er Copperhead 3. Über die Verarbeitung gibt's nix zu meckern. Mir gefallen die vielen Seitentaschen, würde mir aber wünschen, dass diese aus einem dehnbaren Netzstoff gefertigt wären. Sehr praktisch sind auch die flexiblen Befestigungsösen da man sonst in Kombination mit zb Topfueltaschen recht schnell Befestigungsprobleme bekommt. Jedenfalls ist die Blackburn die beste Tasche die ich bisher hatte.

Ci sono borse fatte su misura a doppio di questo prezzo, e sono contento invece di aver acquistato questa!Misure esattamente come indicate, ci stà dentro moltissimo materiale e rimane comunque rigida abbastanza senza “spanciare”. Zip in po’ dure da chiudere, ma perfettamente saldate. Se volete una borsa di alta qualità senza spendere un patrimonio, è quella giusta.
