First let me say, I wasn't prepared for how large this rope light actually is, it's probably a good 1.5" in diameter! It's also extremely bright! Like if you were thinking this would make a nice ambient light behind something, be prepared to have the entire room blasted in whatever color light you've purchased, unless that's what you're going for.This being said, I'm sure this is intended more for large venues/ commercial use, and not so much for "residential" use. It might also make for decent outdoor lighting since you can, supposedly, waterproof it per the included instructions...of which my instructions looked like the copy machine was set to dark...extremely...dark (useless).So, I know this may seem like a negative review, but the color is really solid, and the included kit it comes with to cut the light and make your own lengths of rope is pretty easy to use (Oh just Google the instructions).
