Great for cooling a Macbook pro for software development. Some minor flaws
I use a Macbook Pro for software development and it basically sounds like a jet engine from the moment I sign on to the moment I shut my computer down for the day. Occasionally, I've had to shut my laptop down, let it cool off, and then resume my work. Needless to say, MBP's thermal throttle like crazy.I recently picked this up, and first impressions...it feels cheap. The fans definitely are not of the highest quality, and the build quality feels overly lightweight. That being said, I'm not planning on taking this with me everywhere I go, so build quality isn't a huge deal.Performance-wise, the unit performs great! Running 5 minutes worth of unit tests generally left the MBP around 90C and the fans spinning up to max. Now, the unit only spins up if I'm running both unit tests as well as simulations, a definitely improvement! The only annoyance that I've had is that it tends to slide off, and you do have to keep the bottom elevated to draw in fresh air. To get around this, I used the included legs in the back, and a 1.5 in strip of wood in the front.Overall, I would definitely buy this again, and the fan layout is perfect for cooling a 15 in Macbook Pro.

SOooo impressed, seems great!
Just received this yesterday & set it up right away. Not much to actually "set-up", just put under your laptop & plug in little side cable to your computer, that connects directly to the Chilly Pad (comes included in package) if you want it to automatically turn on when your computer turns on - which I do. You can adjust the speed of the Chilly Fans on the side, but I like to set it to the highest level for best protection & leave it; can barely be heard & felt just a little under my hands. I believe in using ALL my office machines on Surge Protectors since living in Florida most of the year because WE here in Florida know about Lightning - I have had machines Blow Out during a storm in the early past before I learned! Anyway, it is SO light that I was skeptical & at first I did not believe it turned ON, but it was.... SO quiet. My previous Chilly Pad only had 2 fans that seemed pretty ferocious, but this Chilly Pad has 6 fans with lights. I chose this model because I wanted as much Protection as possible. Like my phone, I say, "Why spend a lot of money on equipment if you're not going to protect it the best possible"? Hence, I always buy Otter Boxes for my Cell Phones & a good Chilly Pad for my computer. Point is, this one is very nice & by having it a little bigger than my actual computer, it is working as I intended to also give a little coolness to my hands while working typing for long periods of time. This is exactly what I wanted - in MY opinion it is much better to go a little Bigger rather than smaller! I am very pleased & recommend this product even though it seemed too light & perhaps not worth the money when I took it out of the box - it does what it is supposed to & I realize it does Not need to be heavy to do the job!

It's not amazing, but it's fine.
I bought this for my Asus Strix Hero III 17.3 inch laptop and it fit the laptop fine. It's replacing a single 200mm fan one I had before that I now use for my router since my router seems to need its own cooling. I was hoping for one that had fans in the positions where the laptop's cooling system brought air in so it was getting the coolest possible air.Pros1. It fits my 17.3 inch laptop with very little overhang.2. The feet prop it up to a surprisingly comfortable angle.3. I can't see the red lights or red fans with the laptop on top of it.4. As far as I can tell, the top left and top right of the 6 fans shoot air right into where my CPU and GPU intakes are.5. Thinner than my last one by a fair clip. Doesn't lift the laptop uncomfortably high off of my desk.6. I do quite like the little wheel thing to adjust fan speed. I can turn them down on days where I'm just web browsing and up when I'm gaming.7. The extra USB port is nice for my wireless mouse.8. The red braided cable is a nice touch.9. The legs lift the laptop at a good angle.Cons1. I know people like the whole "silent" thing, but I wish these things would pump up and really go when I want them to. I game with a headset on, I don't care if it gets a little bit louder if it moves more air.2. Red lights, no way to turn them off. Not a big deal because my laptop entirely covers all the fans and lights, but still.3. The performance is better than my last one, but only barely. I was getting low 90C temps when playing games like Halo Wars 2 and Destiny 2 on my previous cooler. This thing drops the max load temps to about 88-90C, so a very small improvement overall. At idle, it idles around 45-49C which is idles generally without a fan at all. Still, it'll hit 95-100C without it while gaming so it does function. I just wish the fans could be turned up a little faster to really pump that cooler air in so I could maybe get something lower without resorting to throttlestop or similar software. In any case, for its price, this is a reasonably decent laptop cooler. The six smaller fans help ensure the air gets pushed to wherever your intake is (mine is top left and top right of the bottom of the laptop), so that does help a little bit, but the manufacturer definitely caters a lot more to the "silent" crowd (which isn't necessarily bad, it's just an observation), and I was hoping for something with a bit more oomph.

Fit perfectly my laptop G7
One of the best for 17” laptops and especially for Dell G7. This cooling pad perfectly fit the construction of the cooling system of the Dell G7 or 17” laptop. The fans blowing right the size of the laptop and make nice job. The degree is light and the best for good working laptop, it lift up 5-10 degrees max, for this model G7. it is very important, it some laptops work very bad with lift degree 10+.But don’t wait a lot from it, 3-5 degrees of cooling is max, still need something else like vacuum. I ordered one, now the temps of my laptop during game and super powerful work are under 85C.Also I had to make 2 dots, 1$ At dollar tree, you don’t have to do it, it is not too much sliding, I just wanted to fix it in one position during the game

Delivered fast, Looks good, Quality great
The quality and look are good so far. I have been using it, lightly, for a week now and it seems fine so far. The built quality looks neat and acceptable. Fits perfectly on my 17' laptop, and the performance is good so far. One small thing I have noticed is the slightly loud sound of the fans, but it definitely not an issue.
